My profile on UBC's site:
You were offered admission on May 22, 2008. A letter advising you of this decision, which includes registration information, has been mailed to you. So that we may confirm our offer of admission, you must submit your final official transcript when available.
That's from UBC. What does that mean? I don't understand, how is this possible. lol
I guess they just wanna make sure? Send in your requirements (again) and registration form.
Or possibly a letter of your naked self. That might help.......... or not. (//vny!://discoverseattle.net/forums/richedit/smileys/Happy/12.gif)
I don't really get the question??
He applied.....they said OK.
I think he was surprised that he got in.
Or maybe they're short on professors. (//vny!://discoverseattle.net/forums/richedit/smileys/Happy/12.gif)

Well then I'd like to give a big F-U to elistist UBC.
^LOL! I remember that.
Maybe sports is surprised he got accepted after giving such a Big-F-U?
UBC is a beautiful place!
Sure is.
Still hasn't sunk in yet. Give it a week. Not until the registration stuff ends up in Missouri (its being sent to Nanaimo and has to be redirected).
It looks like it's their way of saying "Thanks, we have received your application. Until we receive your final transcripts, we will give you our final acceptance (yay or nay)."
I wouldn't get too too excited though. The rest is up to you and your final grades.
I thought that way too, but they're sending out a letter of acceptance to me. So what does that mean? I've sent in my final transcripts. Honestly I don't get it, my grades aren't 'UBC' like. Yeah my High School stuff is high, but I messed up on the second semester. Which is why I don't get it. I don't feel like I deserve it, that I'm taking somebody elses place. ugh Got to stop thinking like that.
Well now I feel silly. I looked at the averages for acceptance in the Faculty of Arts and I meet those. I'm a silly goose.
People I've known have found it easier to get into UBC the second or third year after going to college rather then straight out of high school. Congrats!
Faculty of Arts? I thought you were into Urban Planning?
Yes, that's the trick to these institutions. They're easier to transfer to. I didn't have the ACT score to get into UBC or any other university in Canada (they make it extremely hard for American students to get into straight out of high school).
Geography Department is in the Arts (B.A.) Faculty as is Sociology, Anthropology, Politicial Science, Economics, History etc.
I'm sadden by the theft at the Anthropology Museum. Sad.

Cool! That would be fantastic. I was think Civil Engineering, etc. I need a calculator to tie my shoes. LOL!

Sh*t Happens!
Oh lol! No you were probably thinking of Science.
Yeah, but its making national news. Anthropology is up Michel's alley, he'd be able to tell us the signifigance of Bill Reid. [a href="vny!://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/capress/080525/entertainment/bill_reid_theft_ubc_2"]vny!://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/capress/080525/entertainment/bill_reid_theft_ubc_2[/a]
oh, and congrats. I love UBC!!
That does suck about the theft. I meant sh*t happens, as in that is a sh*tty thing that happened.
It seems a lot of people went there.
Let us know when you start at UBC so that we can congratulate you. :)

But not everyone.
Some of us cheer for the other team at Shrum Bowl.
UBC does have Wreck Beach....
and The Pit Pub.
and The Arts County Fair.
Pit Pub? Is that where mud wrestling takes place after studies?
haha The cross town rivalry.
So who's SFU and UBC on here? Off the top of my head I know of 2 for SFU and 2 for UBC. lol
My friend said UBC is very much like an American university more then Canadian in terms of student life etc.
Well it's pretty much official now. I accepted the offer. So UBC it is. exciting.

jus teasin'!
hahaha.
It'd be cool if everyone put down where they went to school.
I am sure you can tell where I went. I am just not into giving details about it in a forum.
You must be pumped! Best of luck. Enjoy the summer first though!
Of course! Yes I am very excited a bit nervous since I'll have to go through the whole process of a new place again, but it should be an easier transition then this year. Everything that could have gone wrong, went wrong. lol My first two full days in Canada were days of nobody around, no food, and no radio/tv/internet and walking around a neighbourhood I didn't know in the middle of the nght which I only knew before hand as a place people called 'scarewood'. lol
Well, congrats. I know you were looking forward to this place for a long time. UBC is a great place to be.
