How do you juudge Louis Riel, Michel?
That is heartbreaking. What a gorgeous piece of architecture !!!!
add* In a warped kind of way, the first pic of it ablaze is oddly beautiful.
Yes. For some reason it makes me think of the fire at Thornfield Hall in Jane Eyre
So sad to see buildings like that disappear. The new architecture....although some of it is lovely in its own right....just totally lacks in craftsmanship, charm and style like these.
Oh I agree so much with you, PC. Functional seems to be all nowadays ; another instance of the poetic being submerged beneath the prosiac.
well that's post-modernism for yeah. bland and boring. I don't know if we'll see another 'revival' period.
add: on some university campuses that were built in 'gothic' style. Any new building is built in the same style. So gothic does live on, albeit, barely.
What about Maurice Duplessis, Maurice Richard, Corey Hart? lol
Better not say that. The secret police will take away your Maple Tree Licence.
as long as the rcmp knocking with tasers...
I agree with you entirely about Riel and Dumont, Michel.
I hope M. Bonhomme de Neige didn't melt in the big fire.
