Grand opening for HomeSense. It's opening at 493 Robson at Richards on Tues March 18th. Doors open 9.30am till 9.00pm. (//vny!://discoverseattle.net/forums/richedit/smileys/Happy/12.gif)
Darn! That's a bit of a walk for me from work... :( But if I took the Robson bus.... *evil grin*
I LOVE HomeSense, not as much as Costco though.
I love Homesense too! Good stuff. I can literally waste my time there.
Here's more incentive to get you going, Ms. purelife. If you're the first 100 people there, they'll give you a mystery card that could be worth up to $100.
Well.. I have never heard of a homesence.. and I hate Robson and Downtown so I guess its more for you girls!
EDIT: Starfish tells me we will be going.
LOL Yeah Michel.. shes got shopping on her mind.
Note to Russ: Women wear the pants. You just bring your wallet.
LOL Russ! Did SS read over your shoulder and tell you to edit? LOL (//vny!://discoverseattle.net/forums/richedit/smileys/Teasing/12.gif)
I know that you're not a Homesense guy but I know SS will love it. You're right, it's mainly for the gurlz. I drag my guy in there and he enjoys it too. mmmwwawaaahahahahahh!
I for one believe the world will be a better place with another Homesense in it. [img style="CURSOR: pointer" onclick=url(this.src); src="vny!://www.cheesebuerger.de/images/smilie/froehlich/a035.gif" border=0] And let me add, that it's not just for the girls.
Our very good friends, the male half...sheepishly admitted he LOVED Winners a while back. So when I asked him if he liked Homesense too, he said he's never heard of it. It was hilarious when I looked at his wife who was rolling her eyes and she cursed me for telling him. HAHAHAHAAAA Talk about a role reversal. He said it's the best place he's ever found that he can shop for the girls and never fail to find something for all them.
Do you like Home Outfitters and Linen N Things? I find that they're really expensive.
I also like Pier 1 Imports but not as much as Winners/HomeSense.
My friend likes to buy lots of "home" things at Restoration Hardware, Pottery Barn, etc. She chooses colours (noting product codes, etc.) in the store, then purchases the same items on ebay for cheap.

Home Outfitters and Linen N Things are OK. I rarely go there. Just a big warehouse of the same overpriced stuff as the department stores.
I used to LOVE Pier one....'back in the day', it was the best place to shop. It has gotten ridiculously expensive over the years. I don't bother with it any more.
I think what I like most about Winners and Homesense, is the unusual, unique things you find there. Also, I'm a big fan of dishes. I'd have a different set of dishes for every week if I could....and they've got some funky stuff in that area. And prices are GREAT[/DIV]
Maybe so Michel.....but it was great back then. There was also Cost Plus, which I really like. They still have them in the States, and I never miss an opportunity to go to one when I can. Eclectic stuff from all over the world....and their import foods section is AWESOME. We once got cases of beer for a few friends. There were 12 different beers....each one from a different country. The case itself was cool too.
A weird gift, but everyone who got them really loved them. One of our friends had a beer tasting party.....each person sampled shot glasses of each beer.
There's a Pier 1 in Bellingham that I much prefer than up here. Prices are almost half the price. There isn't a lot of selection of things. I only buy their weed diffuser... the citrus one...smells divine!
My guy and I used to spend hours walking around strip malls and checking out stores that had unique home and gift things. Broadway/Granville has some awesome lil shops. I miss those days. We'll do it again this summer.
Last week, I was to go to Queensborough's Walmart but accidentally drove to HomeSense instead that was on Marine and Byrne. I thought Walmart was there! Every other big store was occupying that new space. I ended up walking out with too many things from HomeSense....
Cost Plus isnt' the same as Cost Cutter, right?
No....not the same purelife. Check it out......

It looks like JYSK.
The closest one is in Tacoma... past the Outlets.. too far from Bellingham. :( But, we'll be heading down to Seattle later and will surely check that out.
A teeny bit like Jysk. But it's a world market, so there are so many unique things there from everywhere. I particularly like their international foods section. Not only is there a massive variety, they also have a whole section of the mini sizes of things....perfect for putting together a personalized basket of goodies.
Tacoma has the biggest hill ever. just goes and goes.
hahaha
was skipping through a long post and say Tacoma. brain went: oh big hill!

Wow. So you get up and open the window (in the middle of the night, in winter) so you can stretch out your legs?
