Gift opening techniques.

A Horizontal shaker ?

A vigorous forward and backwards shaker ?

A slow end to end tipper ?

A sniffer ?

A simultaneous shaker and listener ?

Do you tear the paper to shreds from no particular starting point ?

Do you carefully release the tape on each seam?

Do you fold your paper up when you're done or are you a crumpler ?

If it's something that comes with a picture on the box do think your job is done or do you look in the box to see if the contents match the picture ?

Definitely me. Because I'm anal. I ripped the stickers off and fold the paper to be re-used or recycle in the recycle box.

No shaking, something could break. We wrap with decorated box or bags made of cloth or paper, no wrapping paper please. So it's usually cutting or untieing of the ribbon.

(Please note I spend a 1/2 hour yesterday ironing of gift bags. LOL)

Good job JJ !!! Cloth gift bags are great for a lot of things.

As I have never licked a wrapped gift, (well....maybe once) the thought hadn't occurred to me.

I carefully release the stem, ever since when I was at a birthday party (long time ago), and my friend would always rip/tear/open his presents.. until he got one with a gift certificate and managed to rip it in half!

Hmmm....it depends on how the gift is wrapped.

no ribbons/frillie stuff just paper - I rip and crunch the paper

with ribbson/frillie stuff - rip nicely from the sides and take away the string and wear the gift bow on me. :))) but, I eventually end up throwing everything.
