cute, but just wait til their teen years, then its call the medics...lol
darn, I was really looking for the blood and the guts.
omg....it's almost too cute to look at. It almost turns me inside out. I think I'm going to get a polar bear.
Ooooooh! Thanks, P.C. That just made my night!
Made mine too. I have to keep looking at it.....lol.
I'd like to see a rematch - let's say in a year! LOL

.
Ack! Get that horrible feathered thing off my screen!!!
OMG, that hawk is beautiful. He looks like an owl. I'll have one of those too.
got it off of Globe and Mail, apparently its a wild 'immature' hawk someone took a picture of in a Toronto neighbourhood. Too young to be a baby too old to be a grown up. So its the confused teenager.
[p class="blurb"]"An immature red-tailed hawk is photographed on a fence near Yonge and Davenport in Toronto."[/p]
Thanks for putting it on, SD.
Well he's mighty handsome....that's for sure.
Not a big fan of the feathered creatures Lil Me? LOL
Lots around here too Michel. We also have Osprey. They are mighty impressive to watch. We watched one for about 2 hours last summer....circling circling circling.....just waiting for the coy to come to the surface of the pond. Then he'd rest for 10 minutes in a nearby tree, then circle some more. He was pretty patient.....and not willing to give up. We left for awhile, poured ourselves a cocktail....then came back out to sit and watch some more.....and he was still at it.
all i've seen that's bird related are seaguls.
They are amazing birds. There's a guy here who has a falcon. They hire him at the golf courses to chase the geese away. A pretty small bird to have that much influence. They too are fantastic to watch.
I think this one was a peregrine falcon. (sp?) You should see the geese scatter when he flies over. He travels around on his owners' shoulder like a parrot. He'll sit behaving very well while he eats his lunch....lol.
Around here, you can't build a house if it is in the vicinity of an eagles nest. (during mating/nesting season) Everything has to go on hold....and there's some pretty stiff penalties for ignoring it. Most builders here wouldn't do the job....it could cost them too much.....it doesn't matter how much money the owner of the property has.
Not sure Michel. I know there are lots of them up the passage here, but I can't be very specific what times of the year. Union Bay is FULL of them around February.....or whenever herring season is. They lounge around on the log booms there....tons of them. They are so loud, that they often sound like they are right in our yard....and we're a few blocks off the water.
oh i will, I've bringing my car up during the break. plus this girl says she wants to go places so I don't go alone so she'll tag along.
hopefully, I want to work somewhere's in BC this summer. I'd like to work in the interior at a resort or something.
LOOK AT THIS LITTLE FACE !!!

Oh, I forgot to answer.....the sea lions are found lolling on the log booms, all along the shore. You don't need a boat to get up close and personal. This clip was taken in Union Bay.
