How many hours of sleep do you need nowadays?  Do you find that as you age, you wanted more or less?

I find I get less and less as I get older....and still seem to function well.  Around 6 hours is what I get these days. (if I'm lucky)  Last night, my cat decided I would be good with 4. I think same as you Michel.  around 7 hours for me too.  I find that my sleeps aren'ts as deep as they used to be, meaning that I wake up quite often at night but then fall back asleep.  But I seem to function ok during the day.

I'm a deeper sleeper, but if I'm not tired, I don't sleep.
Can't sleep in. For example I went to bed at 3:30 this morning, got up at 9:45.  wide awake and not tired.
Everyone else in the dorms probably won't wake up until noon.

About 6 is the usual, but I often sleep far less.

I have sleep apnea which means I stop breathing while I sleep.  I get up  at least around 20x a night because I stop breathing.  They recorded me as stop breathing 16x an hour.

Ahahahaha. I don't know. My nights are never the same. Ever since Lise Jr. Jr. arrived, it's been punctuated with cries of wet diapers and the need to feed so I loose track of how many hours I actually sleep. Maybe five, give or take.

Now do you see the bags under my eyes?(//vny!://discoverseattle.net/forums/richedit/smileys/Word_Negative/3.gif)

I think Apnea needs hugs and not Lise.  Apnea is dying and going to get a stroke or heart attack from his/her condition.

Around 7, although I can function on much less.
I like to sleep a full 8 hrs at least one night a week (usually Sat).

About 7 or 8 hours.  Any more or less I'm "not me."  Also helps I don't have kids or pets to wake me up, just the occasional bedmate and even then I boot him to the other bedroom so I can get some sleep. (//vny!://discoverseattle.net/forums/richedit/smileys/Love/21.gif)
