I remember several years ago, there was a concern about microwave popcorn causing eye problems and possible blindness. I couldn't make the connection. I had heard it was from the steam when you opened the popped corn......so I assumed it was like a burn on the tender tissure of the eye, from the steam. I thought it was a bunch of bunk, until I had started to develop a cloudy vision problem. It was like looking through a heavy plastic bag.
As it turned out, it was from one of the ingredients in the popping oil. They corrected that problem.....and now this.
I've heard about this a while ago. You have to wonder about the people working in the theatres, whether they're at risk for the same thing.
I think they are referring specifically to microwave popcorn. I would imagine there has to be some ingredient in there to prevent it from burning in microwave conditions.
Yikes. Microwave popcorn sounds menacing now.
If the fumes are enough to cause damage, is it even safe to eat?

Remember the Pepto-Bismol commercial with the 1980's rappers/breakdancers? What the hell were they thinking?
rofl Oh gawd those were embarrassing.
Who hasn't done a "bathroom dance" before? (but not necessarily breakdancing...)
Personally, I find the Immodium commercials hilarious.
The one in the hot tub" Hey Bob, you still suffering from diaharrea?"
hahahaa....that WAS a good one.
(I refer to that dance as the peepee dance, but it bears no resemblance to breakdancing. I think that would finish it.)
I couldn't imagine breakdancing with a full bladder (or colon). That would be a recipe for disaster.
I couldn't imagine breakdancing.
I found that commercial...
