Hi Passion
Unfortunately most of the people here aren't from Seattle. Go figure huh?
Anyways, if you click on the link to the main board of Discover Seattle, there are links to restaurants, accomodations and events etc.
Sorry we're not much help.

Good so when you're there you can tell us what's happening in Seattle.

Here's an interesting event listed on Discover Seattles main board. [img style="CURSOR: pointer" onclick=url(this.src); src="vny!://www.cheesebuerger.de/images/more/bigs/c008.gif" border=0]

Thanks I will let you know what's has happened when I get back. I know Seattle quite well and have my favourite haunts but I was hoping to gather some inside scoop.
Thank for all the input even from the poor immature PC.
Aaa...yea. You're welcome I'm sure. DO come again.

Gee. That's not very nice, calling her that. I mean, she's helping you out, y'know.

Geesh, Passion. I didn't figure you'd be the type to say that. She was trying to help and you came back insulting her? How RUDE![/DIV]

I guess you are going too.(//vny!://discoverseattle.net/forums/richedit/smileys/Shocked/2.gif)
"Passion" is no more. Oh well, small loss.
Soap's in!
What in the heck are you talking about? Going where?
I would imagine he is referring to the link I posted in jest, for 'Events in Seattle'. (//vny!://discoverseattle.net/forums/richedit/smileys/6.gif)
Seattle is just the town you could quickly drive to from the Lower Mainland and spend a weekend finding tons of things to do. It is a busy, FUN city! I miss living close to that town.

I don't think 'passion' was really interested in what was going on in Seattle.
At least it was a good opportunity to have a look at what's going on in the 'host city' of this forum.
Funny how little Seattle is mentioned in this forum? For such a cool city too!
eh, no public transportation system and of course a polluted sound thanks to Victoria's poop. lol
Seattle's fine. More earthquakes though.
I found downtown Seattle to be quite similiar to Downtown Vancouver.
Except the live music scene in Seattle kicks ars on Canada's.
Vancouver is so beautiful too! (gotta stay true to my hometown).
I used to love weekend trips to Seattle though. Especially in the crazy 90s.
that was the 90's. lol
Now the seattle music scene came out of the vancouver scene. death cab for cutie is a clone of the a couple vancouver bands.
And right now? Canada's the hottest place on the planet for music.
huh? Canada?? Vancouver??
Yeah, I am stuck in the 90s.
yeah where have you been? Granted its been more Toronto and Montreal but some Vancouver acts are getting recognition. But yeah if you like music Canada has the 'hottest' scenes
Arcade Fire started it, then the Broken Social Scene guys and its off shoots Feist, Stars, Metric, then there's Malajube, Wolf Parade, Teagan and Sara, Matthew Good I could go on.
Oh yes, lots of bands out of Canada. Nothing too revolutionary to me. Arcade Fire sounds like early 80s new wave to me. Matthew Good sounds like he is crying, or about to cry in every song.
I never think of too many Canadian bands coming out with much original music...is this the wrong thread for this?
I just remember the 90s. Seattle had about 10000 amazing bands...Vancouver had 54-40...

I think this is the PERFECT thread for this. Might as well use it for something constructive.
really 80's new wave with Arcade Fire? There newest album has a pipe organ.
They are a good band though, I don't hate them. I just never thought of Canada having an impressionable music scene?
All in the ear of the beholder. Ha!
