Title: Tape
Post by: tenkani on Mar 15 06 12:33
What have you used tape for?

I'll start. I used some fat silver electrical tape (1,000 mile an hour tape) and some illustration board to make a hood for my monitor. It only took me four hours.

well right now i use tape to post people I admire in my room next to my giant canadian flag. So far I've got 2 pics of Trudeau (of course), one of Tommy Douglas, Adam Clayton, and Che.

Sweet. I have a poster of Che up in my room as well. But I used adhesive putty so technically this post is off-topic     (http://discoverseattle.net/forums/richedit/smileys/Sad/8.gif)

Trying to find more people to put up but I have a strict (tape) criteria. It has to be somewhat political, I like black and white photos and they have to be liberal thinking. So you won't see any Churchill's on my wall.[/DIV]Would put up Karl Marx's mug but his giant beard wouldn't look good with these pics:

oh (tape), as you can tell I like cool poses type pics. no smiling. They have to look like the have an idea and they want to tell the world about it and look passionate about it. [/DIV]For example my Trudeau pic is this:

I like something that jumps out at you so in the morning I can look at the picture and the picture jumps out at me and says "Sportsdude, you can do it, conquer the day."

I once recreated an Escher geometrical shape in duct tape and cardboard.

I had to give my cat some medicine, so to avoid losing both hands I wrapped him in a large towel and taped it together with duct tape.  Does this qualify?

Having just got a new iPod (it's so beautiful *sniff*), I'm done with cassette tapes so I gave them to a buddy at work. Mostly a bunch of Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Rush, lotsa 80's rawk. He was stoked and I was glad to pass on the metal magic.
My buddy in art school used to use tape all the time. He also liked to raid the dumpster of the sticker printer's shop- thar be treasures.

Hi, CK!  I found this pic and thought about tenkani's thread.  It seemed to fit the category.  How are you doing?  I thought you would be somewhere skiing or 'boarding today.
