is 150k a decent salary for Toronto ? I have no idea about income taxes in Ontario ? Also, how's quality of life, which neighborhoods are cool for yuppies ?

I remember "orca" vaguely as a stern motherly type but fair mod ....from the DV days.....
40k is the national average for a salary. In bigger cities in order to live comfortably and afford a house the average is 75k.
Toronto in my opinion sucks. I only lived there for 9 weeks tho.
For a $150K a year you'd be quite well set in Toronto and you could have a great life. A wife of my friend is from Toronto, she was raised there, and she's always saying what a great city it is. I haven't seen it myself. I can only assume that it's a good city b/c it's part of Canada.
