Which one of these dudes do you figure can copy and paste more news articles? [A onclick="addImg('icon/icon_smile_clown.gif')" href="jvascript:void(0)"](http://www.discovervancouver.com/forum/icon_smile_clown.gif)[/A]
What can I say? I guess I am the eye in the sky when it comes to news. I like to keep people informed.[/DIV]I frequent a lot of newspapers and news sources.
Sportsdude is the King of Spam.
TehBorken keeps me up to date with American currnet events. sports keeps me up to date with Canadian current events. He knows more about what is going on in Canada than Canadians?!! Well, maybe not 100%, but he posts the Canadian headlines.
Yeah but all he does is post copy and paste from around the net. He never actually has anything intelligent to contribute to the conversation. The odd time that he does actually try to add his own original spin, he usually winds up saying something incredibly stupid or ignorant.
No offense, name.....but that wasn't exactly the best contribution.

Like all the great contributions you've made, right? Personally, I like Soprtsdude's stuff.

I disagree. You'll just have to excuse us for not paying more attention the the whining of an anonymous [span style="text-decoration: line-through;"]troll[/span] user.
Well what do you want me to do? Write my own article? The article that I use usually expresses my opinion on things.
1. This is a rather stupid poll.
2. Who cares who copies more news articles? They are all interesting, and a post doesn't have to be original to be good.
3. Name is being very rude and patronizing. Is this behavior necessary?
If Name was a member, I would be delighted to smite him for his arrogance. (http://discoverseattle.net/forums/richedit/smileys/Angry/1.gif)
Apparently name can't even come up with a name.
My Cat wins this one paws down!
little kitty is always up late, on my lap top, cutting and pasting articles to this forum....
the worst part is that she doesn't even have the desency to invoke stimulating conversation... the darn cat just cuts and pastes....
I post relevant news that is relevant in today's society. [/DIV]And if it wasn't for me I doubt you would have heard any of the stories.[/DIV]For example the frozen embryo story from britian. [/DIV]I doubt you read the guardian or globe and mail or get your news from the BBC.[/DIV]Figured I needed to put some Seattle news on a Seattle website so I started reading the Post-Intelligencer.
Good for you, Sportsdude. I've read quite a few articles that you and TehBorken have posted that I probably wouldn't have come across otherwise. Keep up the good work!
I don't lurk here to be informed or entertained. Frankly, neither of these things are happening anyway.
Hell, I'm not even sure why I'm here, especially since I'm without my second cup of coffee.
I was sitting here thinking that some of you might be posting because you are bored, or at work, even though it's much too early to be bored, or at work. *blarg*
Am I wrong?
what was the question?

At work yes, usually at work around 7:30 MST. Bored, kind of. Slower time of year for my work. Waiting for the big thaw.
I quite often come across things on this forum that I don't want to read. I have an innovative and daring method to deal with the conundrum....
I don't read them.
Now I cannot, in good conscience, recommend the "don't read them" solution to the average layperson. Not reading some posts can be very hazardous and the potential for addiction is huge in the untrained non-reader. The benefits to those who can, however, selectively "not-read" with informed acceptance of the risks involved can far outweigh any potential consequences.

That's an amazing and forward-thinking method, almost fiendishly clever! Unfortunately it's beyond the mental capacity of many of the users on teh intarweb. I'm not kidding when I say people should have to take a test before they're allowed to open a browser for the first time.
Luckily, for the last 15 years or so I've set my own hours. There was a time there where I went to my favorite coffee shop and I would stay there having coffee for a couple of hours before work every morning. lol. Sometimes I would stay there all morning.
Nowadays I wake up hours earlier and spend those hours having coffee and getting ready for whatever I'm gonna do that day. Usually I start work around 9:00 a.m P.S.T. It's never slow because there's so many things I want to do.

What is it that you do, if you don't mind telling us? Are you a freelancer or ??

I used to program for customers freelance but now I mostly program for myself.
Customers are a pain. Working for yourself is far more enjoyable. lol. The pays a little worse but I hardly notice.
Great idea, witch. Unfortunately, I'm a compulsive readaholic, and must read everything that passes in front of my eyes. A tragic affliction, as I'm sure you must realize. I try to bear up under the strain, but it's not easy.

Witch replies:
I can help you with that P.C. The road to recovery is long and fraught with pitfalls, but with perseverance and faith it can be done. The road starts here.
Now before you begin you should have a thorough examination done. As your "don't read it" counsellor, I am qualified to perform that task. Please send me several pictures of you in the nude in various poses. I will evaluate them and then we can begin the healing process.

Tiny question.............Whose healing, hmmmm?[/DIV]
Healing can be a cooperative process...
You're not trying to make this into something tawdry I hope. I'm a minister for goodness sake!
Heaven (or whatever) forfend, Witch! I am totally sure that you are a pillar of respectability. I simply thought that sometimes healers need healing, too.

And the choir breaks into a Marvin Gaye chorus....
Well SURE, witch. I'M ON IT.

Me too, but I've been feeling like a slug lately. I'm over a critical "hump" and so I've been slacking, lol.
I'm prepping to work on something new and what I need are pictures of people with large protest signs or banners, or people in front of tv screens or billboards where the screen or billboard is very visible. Post 'em here if you run across any. Don't worry about what the sign says- I'll knock out any visible text like in these:
