Title: Red Lobster
Post by: Lise on Mar 29 07 08:18
I'm wondering.................. is there a Red Lobster in B.C. at all? Or in Seattle? Those ads look so damn good, I want to lick my TV screen.

Yes, I remember Sizzler but I remember eating at this restaurant when I was in Australia. They went bankrupt Downunder. That's sad. They had some good eats.

Darn...not here, huh?  I was hoping that they were.  I've tried Keg's lobster and it wasn't that great at all.

There is Red Lobster here. It looks better on TV than it actually is. They do have decent lunch specials though.

Red Lobster: (//forums/richedit/smileys/Other/8.gif)

Trust me, you have it for dinner and you'll be sick for days. I'm still getting over the last time I went to Red Lobster 3 years ago. ugh..  They bread everything and somehow make seafood disgusting.

Another place to avoid is Joe's Crab Shack. Yeah its fun for the kids, but they do not have one item on the menu that is not grilled over deep fried and breaded.

I'd rather go to the emporor's palace buffet (which is like disney world meets asian cuisine) then go to red lobster.  And the palace is C rated food at best.

As they said in the local paper:
[a href="vny!://www.stltoday.com/stltoday/entertainment/reviews.nsf/restaurant/story/D25C415E0BD8C57086256FE900325011?OpenDocument"]vny!://www.stltoday.com/stltoday/entertainment/reviews.nsf/restaurant/story/D25C415E0BD8C57086256FE900325011?OpenDocument[/a]

More than 100 items on an all-you-can-eat buffet, some of which are offered as entrees independent of the buffet, in an atmosphere that takes a Disney approach to Chinese food, with rock formations, waterfalls and a simulated roofline of a Chinese village.

As a new entry in the "nothing succeeds like excess" category, we give you Emperor's Palace in the Chesterfield Valley.

AKA avoid at all cost

They go broke when they have never ending pasta month.  Because I clean the place out.

That's all well and good, but you can't beat Black Angus...

"At Black Angus, we'll start you off with our appetizer platter, featuring five jumbo deep-fried gulf shrimp, served on a disc of salted butter, with fifteen of our potato bacon bombs, and a big bowl of pork cracklins, with our cheese and butter dippin' sauce."

 "Uhh...we're all gonna split that--"

"OH, YOU'LL EACH GET YOUR OWN! Then we'll take you to our mile-long soup and salad bar, featuring bacon and cheese cream soup and our five-head of iceberg lettuce He-Man salad, served in a punch bowl, with 18 pounds of ranch dressing, pork-stuffed deep fried croutons, and what the hell, a couple of corn dogs!"

"Uhh...hey, man, I'll tell you what, I'll just...I'll get like a mixed green salad."

"Hey, I'll suck a cock on the Golden Gate bridge before I bring you a mixed green, buddy!"

 "I--what? I--"

"Then we'll wheel out our bottomless trough of fried dough!"

 "I--wha? Wait a minute. Am I getting a steak?"

"Oh, you'll get a f*ckin' steak! 'Cause then we'll bring out our 55-ounce Los Mesa He-Man steak slab, served with a deep-fried pumpkin stuffed with buttered scallops, and 53 of our potato bacon bombs."

 "Oh, dude, I don't think--"

"And then bend over, Abigail May, 'cause here comes the gravy pipe!"

 "I--wh-what?

"Black Angus. Doors are locked from the outside, faggot!!"

I would be afraid to ask for fear that they'd be inserted rectally via industrial strength compressed air nail gun      :(

There used to be a Black Angus steakhouse in Van (on Robson?  in the 1970s).  I don't know if it was part of the franchise.

I'm getting hungry. *bites a hole from this thread*

I hear ya about Olive Garden. Why the hell won't they open a branch here? I mean, it's doing so damn well in Langley, they really should open one up here.

Whenever I go to Seattle, that's one place I have to go.
