Beacon Hill park according to its website has a children's zoo.
The Royal BC Musuem looks cool but Lise Jr. might think its boring.

Yes. I'm well aware Beacon Hill is a petting farm which has goats (unfortunately not of Russ' stocks) and plenty of furry furballs to play with.

The Museum was a complete waste of our time because Lise Jr. could not understand a thing and the stuffed animals scared her.

I'm looking for things to do with a young family that's enjoyable and fun.

I can't wait for Tofino!! Woohoo!! Booked our cabins already and can't wait to get there. Counting.... counting.....

Miniature World at the Empress would be something all could enjoy.

Or a horse drawn carriage ride.

The Butterfly Gardens are full of beautiful birds, flowers and butterflies.

How long will you be on the Island Lise?

There are some pretty scary images in the wax museums (for little girls anyways).

The Spirit of Christmas is a magical place to wander through any time of the year.  It's not a museum....it's a store, but there is so much amazing stuff that would please a little girl.

[P id=ad_description]Family Recreation Facility - Wavepool, Waterslides etc at the Saanich Commonwealth Place.

Also Victoria has the oldes chinatown in Canada.....always so much to see, do and eat there!

The Hidden Dragon Walking Lantern Tour is spectacular.

usually some coupons on the brochure rack on the ferry, Lise.  Something to read while you choke down your Sunshine Breakfast and coffee that tastes like metal urn.

When I was in Victoria with my 2 little nephews, we went to one of the docks and fed the seals. You can purchase packs of frozen fish for them and go on the docks and feed them. I believe it's the Oak Bay Marina, and you buy the frozen fish from the little shop there. You might want to go check it out. The seals come really close and take the fish right out of your hands. They will tell you how to feed them correctly. My nephews had a blast. Hope you're having a good time. We'll be in Victoria during Easter too.

OK other than the seal thing (that is way too cool.. I wish I did that) the next best thing is the wax museum. If your kids are old enough, and scare easily (but won't cry), go into the wax museum's horror part and take a videocamera. Tape everyone's reaction to the dead guys, and then you'll look back on it maybe in 5 years or so and laugh about it.
