One of my favourites would be the smell of stew simmering on the stove on a cold day.
Frankincense and basilica. Not the cheap incense on sticks, but the raw resin burned on charcoal
Freshly ground coffee. MmmMMMmm. Sometime whe I open a new can I practically stick my head down in it and inhale the aroma. It's better than the drink itself.

Coffee's up there for me too....but if you brew that coffee with a campfire going and some bacon frying up on the griddle, it's just a delicious smell.

Of course COFFEE! I was drinking my second as I wrote that. I guess the idea was something besides coffee. I don't express myself that well in the early morning. (//vny!://discoverseattle.net/forums/richedit/smileys/Teasing/15.gif)
I like the smell of wood burning.[/DIV]The evergreen trees.[/DIV]Good food cooking and baking.
Fresh towels and linens, especially if they have been dried outdoors in a nice breeze.
The smell of spring after a long cold Manitoba winter.
I love the smell of my hair after I dye it.^^[/DIV]I love my strawberry perfume too.^^
I love the smell of coffee in the morning, or waking up to the smell of the smelly green stuff. I love that smell any time of the day though or night.

have you smelled these?? they're amazing!
On my way to work in the mornings at 9:00am, I walk by a Safeway and the smell coming from the bakery is just yummo!
Was up in the workshop today....and remembered how much I love the smell of wood shavings or sawdust. Mmmmm.
I love the smell of lilacs in the spring. Another choice is the smell of newly cut grass.
OMG, kitten. Lilacs were my moms' favourite flower. There was on old fellow who lived on the corner of our lane when we were kids. He'd always call us over to the fence if he saw us out playing, and send us home with ARMLOAD sized boquets of lilacs for my mom. The whole house smelled divine. So of course they're my fave too. (I tried to transplant dads lilace bush to my property when dad died, but it just never flowered after I brought it here.) I think it should have stayed where it was.[img style="CURSOR: pointer" onclick=url(this.src); src="vny!://www.cheesebuerger.de/images/more/bigs/c020.gif" border=0]
Sweetpeas are another fave in the flower catagory.
Nothing beats the smell of a newborn baby.
Freshly brewed coffee in the morning.[/DIV]Garlic cooking on butter.
A baby powdered baby

Fresh cut grass.
Horses.
Mandarin Oranges
Bread baking
Sun dried laundry
My favorite perfume
A clean man
Wood burning in the fall
I have a nose for that sort of thing. I started at the first page (47?) and worked back. I'll check for more later and post as I find them. This resurrection of old threads was a brilliant idea. Good for you, P.C.
I'm with you all the way, Some Chick......wait......horses ????

Lovely smells...if you want your place to smell like a Chinese funeral house.
I bought a bunch of that vile crap when I was based in Saudi Arabia. Smelly, smoky, and nasty.
Primroses
Napalm in the morning.
Newborn smell.
My hubby after a shower. (I picked his body wash afterall)
Mostly food these days
Coffee
Chocolate (though I will never eat more than a piece)
Clean linen and sheets
My dog after a wash
IKEA catalouge (for some insane reason)
I noticed that Vancouver has a smell of it's own. A mixture of fresh sea air, baking bread, weed, and cooking food. I love it. I caught a whiff of something like it the other day and it made me sigh.
Cussons Baby product.
This pic is not as I remembered it on the soap, but I think it is still the same company. It is UK product (I think).
