Oooops.
[hr style="width: 100%; height: 2px;"]A 21-year-old German tourist named Tobi Gutt learned the hard way the cost of a typo: he wanted to go to Sydney, Australia but bought tickets online to Sidney, Montana.
Seems Gutt had accidentally typed the wrong name into his web browser when he ordered his plane tickets online and wound up flying 13,000 miles to a place called Sidney, Montana.
The oil town only boasts about 5,000 souls and promises tourists such exciting events as "The Best of the West Beef Showcase," "The Lewis and Clark Bicentennial" and "The Lone Tree Gun Show."
His mother can't believe what happened. "I didn't notice the mistake as my son is usually good with computers," Sabine Gutt relates.

No kidding. The same thing happened to a group of tourists who flew to Sydney, Newfoundland, Canada. They thought they were getting the sun, they were actually getting cold frigid air. (//vny!://discoverseattle.net/forums/richedit/smileys/Happy/12.gif)
Sorry, Lise, that's Sydney, Nova Scotia. Same result though.
Oops. Thanks for clarifying there, kitten. I knew it was on the eastern coast somewhere. Wasn't sure if it was Nova Scotia or Newfoundland.
No problem, Lise. I come from the east coast.
