You're so sweet, kitten. Thanks.
I would've bumped my old post but I had accidently deleted it. :(
Any wedding date set?
Not yet kitten. I won't be setting any date untl I have at least 5 grand saved up. At the moment, we're not even close to it. I'm going to try to keep this wedding as cheap and simple as possible.
ADD: I was more interested in wearing my ring....hee hee...
A smart plan, purelife. It's a good idea to go for a simple wedding and keep your savings for the "happily-ever-after". Later on when you hit the lottery jackpot you can do something elaborate to celebrate if you want to.
*Rings are always nice, though*
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Am happy for the both of you! Yay!! Congratulations!!!
CONGRATS PURELIFE!!!!
I agree keep the wedding simple, you have more important things to spend your money on. Alot of my friends are having simple weddings, eloping to places like vegas or mexico, so YOU have to pay to go to it, otherwise you get a CD in the mail of it.
(//vny!://discoverseattle.net/forums/richedit/smileys/Word_Positive/1.gif) HUGE congratulations, purelife.
Hey, purelife - I've just rea;lised that although you've told us that your b.f. has proposed to you, you've not actually told us whether or not you accepted!!

Marik, we're 27 and 28.
*sniffle*
Congrats!
This doesn't mean I am going to stop drooling all over you, bringing you flowers, massaging your feet, and enjoying naked hot tubs with you!!!
You know that you have a 50% chance of winding up in divorce? Why bother? Good now, but wait a couple of years and he gets bored and cheats on you. Also, sounds like in his line of work, you'll be the one paying the bills when he is unemployed which is going to be a lot when the bubble bursts. Run away.
Take no notice of the above, purelife. Enjoy it!!!!

Ah yes. Don't worry. I've checked out that [A href="vny!://www.nomarriage.com"]www.nomarriage.com[/A] website. Thanks for your concerns though.

You are betraying your gender and perpetuating an out-moded hetrosexist institution.
Umm, okay. Thanks again though.
ADD: out-moded hetrosexist institution. I like that phrase. Mind if I steal for future use?
She's just an old fashioned girl - and cute with it.

Marik, we're 27 and 28.
Congratulations purelife. Wow, I've been married almost as long as you've been on this planet.......coming upon 24 years.
I give up. Don't blame me when it goes wrong.
Blame you for what?

Hey, it doesn't always go wrong. Like I stated in my previous post, I've been married to the same wonderful hunka man for almost 24 years. It's better now than it's ever been. It can work purelife, don't listen to the nay-sayers.
Um, you might think it outmoded. But the majority of the modern world still does it...
I think she's doing what she wants. Which is all that matters cause its her life and opinion right?
So.. then it comes down to a big thanks for your warning and offer of advice, as that is the correct thing to do. But to follow it up with more blather after she has thanked you for your offer of advice, is then you trying to IMPOSE your beliefs on her.
Wow Liz! That's awesome!
