Hey kingy! I've tried Dine Out Vancouver a couple of times. And yes, the place gets booked pretty darn quick especially the good ones.

I've tried the Cannery. It's s'okay if you like small portions there. The Hart House in BBY is quite good though but I hate the snobby attitude there.

Here's the link to their site:

I usually do dine out vancouver if Im in town.

I would stay away from teh cannery though. My dad, bro and I got food posoning on my dads 60th a few years ago. We called and complained, I even went in in person. They didnt care, so we filed with the BBB.

Mmmmm, sounds yummy kingy.  I once had a piece of chocolate pate in a restaurant over there, and for the life of me I can't remember where.  If I knew, I would send a cab to bring a piece over to the island for me.  It was the most decadant thing I ever ate.

I met this lady on the bus giving me this hint to go to this site:  [A href="vny!://www.opentable.com/"]vny!://www.opentable.com/[/A] and make your reservations.  She said that at last minute, she got into Gotham's Steakhouse.  Lucky her.

Gosh, Morton's is damn expensive.  I might try Boathouse.  I haven't been to a Dine Out yet.  It sounds divine.

the thing with boathouse is that you can go pretty much anytime of the year. there are usually specials or coupons in the georgia straight. for dine out, i usually try and pick out a restaurant that i normally wouldnt be able to afford.

I agree with kingy, boathouse/ carderos/ milestones are all dine out there anytime.

Theres quite a few nice places to go to on the list. I usually go to four or more when its on in town. Last year I went to the salmon house on the north shore. Nice, but for what it was I wouldnt go on my own.

all the participating restaurants are taking reservations for dine out now.  im sure most of the good restaurants are already booked up for the fridays and saturdays.

i went to the tourismvancouver website and it was super slow...and still is.

it is a dinner thing so i presume it starts anywhere from 5pmish til closing. i guess it would depend on the restaurant.

All the good restaurants get book up real quick so it's better to start reservations as soon as possible.
