Okay how do I get from Sea-Tac to Lakewood without using a car. Looked at the sound transit page could figure out anything.

Doing it by bus would be ugly. Your best bet may be a cab. Expensive, but direct. I can't really think of any inexpensive way that doesn't involve cab . Maybe one of the airport transporter companies perhaps.
why are the buses really bad like st. louis or something.
Sportsdude wrote:

I think they're just very inconvenient and rather slow, but I honestly don't have much experience with 'em. I'm mostly going by what other people have mentioned to me.
I thought about the regional train because doesn't it stop at Sea-Tac then take the bus from Tacoma to Lakewood. But I looked at the bus schedules and they only run on mon-fri and not a lot. Somebody needs to fix that.
the usa bus system must suck ass, we have the best bus system and everything here is so much better than there, I think America has to make fun of Canada cause it knows everyone likes us better then them!
Sportsdude, most of us here are not familiar with the bus system in Tacoma as it is a separate city about 30 min. from Seattle. Seattle's bus system is very efficient as highly used. Good Luck! P.S. Canadian your post is ridiculous.

Note: Not all Canadians express the same point of view as this AssHat that posted this!!
yes they do feel the same way as canadian shitbox, we hate americans, just cause the majority of you people are dumb as shit, "CANADA, WHATS CANADA" Get out of your basement and go ask 10 people on the street if they know where or what CANADA is, you will get this answer" CANADA, WHATS CANADA", now thats just dumb seeing how as our country is better than yours!
In every way our country is better than yours and everyone here knows it!
I am Canadian and you certainly do not speak for me 'all canadians'
cause your a faggot, kits
all Canadians, why are you so worried about what Americans think anyways?
im not im just telling you the truth, I could care less what you dumbf*cks think, its just the truth and I thought you should hear it!
Well ok...thanks for the news update.
One more thing. I am a proud Canadian too. But I don't have to be a proud Canadian by slamming my American friends. [/DIV]There are f*cktards, and cool people in every part of the world.
canadian.....I think if you're going to speak for 'all canadians', you might want to do a little homework.[/DIV]You certainly don't speak for me, or my family or friends. You don't even speak for yourself very well. So please, if you're going to spout nonsense, simply speak for yourself. I don't want or need your representation.

I wouldn't classify "all canadians" as one of the cool people. You don't elevate yourself by stomping on someone else. And no, he isn't speaking for me either. I hate it when people make thoughtless generalizations about other people.
Lol, "all canadians" is trying so hard to pick a fight, it's downright funny. People like him/her/it crack me up.
Reading the posts on this thread made me strangely wistful. I guess because I wish I could say I was something other than American, wish I could feel like part of something as cool as Canada. I'm a little envious. The way things are in the world, the way things are in this country, it's damned embarrassing to say you're an American. I feel like even saying the words "I am an American" is like coming to the sandbox and pissing into it, laughing.
The whole image of Americans is arrogant, ignorant, fat consumers. As an introvert, I'm uncomfortable being part of the whole country. When I saw the headline of that European newspaper the day after the last election here, it said, "How can 53% of all Americans be so STUPID?" and I almost cried. When people here wanted to start calling French fries "Freedom Fries," I wrote a letter to the French embassy, apologizing. "We're not all morons, I swear!"
It's strange. I like people as individuals, and isn't a country just made up of individuals? Yet, as a united body, I loathe my fellow citizens. I'm not quite sure how to feel about this.
Primefactor, I know what you mean. That was very well put.[/DIV]Our country is composed of individuals, many of whom are great as individuals.[/DIV]On the other hand, as citizens we have a responsibility to be politically active or to face the consequences of the actions of our elected representatives. We have a systemically broken political system and most Americans (myself included to some extent) don't care enough to fix it.
Because of this we end up with corporate whores, morons or zealots in the white house (somtimes all three!) and we (the world) suffer for it.
Generally speaking, we are an apathetic, brainwashed citizenry who enjoy an incredibly high standard of living (comparitively speaking) in large part due to runaway capitalism and a long history of corrupt and immoral foreign policy.
So I guess when jerkoffs start spouting about how Americans suck, I know that while they are not exactly right, there is enough of a grain of truth that I can't get much anger worked up about it.

How do you reconcile these two contradictory notions? Is there some special medication? At least Jean Cretin (oops, I mean Chretien) only spoke out of one side of his mouth.
Lol, only one of these statements can be true:
[ol][li]I could care less what you dumbf*cks think[/li][li]I thought you should hear it![/li][/ol]Do we need to type slower or use a larger font for you?
Just speaking from my experience a few years ago. I moved to the USA for a short term. Just doing a job experience type thing in the Bay Area of California. I moved there, a normal BC boy, not 100% sure what to expect. The people that lived in the same apartment complex as me befriended me in a way I have never expected. The people I met are some of the most laid back, down to earth folks I have ever encountered. They treated me as if I was a long lost brother. [/DIV]To this day, I am still friends and they have come to Canada a couple times for visits. [/DIV]Calling all Americans a**holes is a horrible generalization. I think every western nation has there share of gas guzzling, bible thumping, red-fujuckin'-necks that want to BOMB THE "ENEMY". Although they haven't the slightest clue who the enemy is.
The thing that threw me off was when it was time to BBQ, they wanted to put the chicken on the "grill". Always "grill"...hehe.
Like they say. "All generalizations are bad, including this one." (//forums/richedit/smileys/Happy/14.gif)

You mean the "grill"? I just never heard it before. I noticed it, like Canadians saying "eh"? I think some Canadians say that, depends on their region I guess?

well i should not of said all americans are retards, i know a few that are not, but most of them are, and what really pisses me off is that the daily show and colbert report and other shows put us down just to make them selves look better.
Hey, CK, I must make a trip to Calgary. I had no idea it was that advanced!

Bah. That Calgary picture is old.
My sister lived in a two story igloo when she lived in Calgary. lol. My mom was afraid of the second floor. All she could say was look at all them stairs.
actually, what kind of looks funny, is one of those igloos looks like they have a "satellite" made out of snow!?

LOL, that many? Out of 330 million you managed to find a few? My Generalization Meter is pegging. See:

but most of them are,
Ahem. See above.
and what really pisses me off is that the daily show and colbert report and other shows put us down just to make them selves look better.
Ummm, not to blow your mind or anything, but those are comedy shows. Comedy. Not real news reports. It's like, a joke, eh?
I swear, you'd think I was arguing with a Canadian or something. (//forums/richedit/smileys/Happy/14.gif) lol
(That was a "joke".)
for your information tuborkan the daily show is the most truth ful news show on the air, they tell us whats really going on and its just the way they are about us, they think they can come and invade us and take over Canada, most Americans think that way but we would kick the shit out of your stupid country!
canadian wrote:

Well, if what you say is true, then aren't the things they say about Canada and Canadians true?
I sense that we're entering the Contradiction Zone again. Can't you put two sentences together without contradicting yourself?

OK, now you're just being silly. We've got around 34 million people, and most of us actually know and like a lot of Americans. I don't think you can start a war all by yourself.

I am American and i know where Canada is. I'm pretty sure i can name all the provinces and the name of your P.M. All of my friends know where Canada is as well, have travelled to Vancouver, Toronto, or Montreal, and had nothing but nice things to say about their experiences. I find it really funny when Canadians come out and say that Americans don't know anything about Canada. What is really expected of most Americans to know about Canada? The reason Canadians know more about the U.S. is because we are so big and produce a lot of culture, ideas and as of late a really corrupt gov. If you want people to notice you ,you have to do something noticeable. Now as a responsible citizen of the world i think it's good to know about politics and geography but the truth of the matter is you can't expect people to be fascinated with you if you contribute very little culturally to the world or something indistinguishable from the country just below you.
'canadian'[/DIV]You're downright embarassing. Are you on a mission to ensure we can't hold our head up, for shame of being associated with such ridiculous comments. Take up another cause.....you're not doing so good with this one. So far, I think you have ZERO support in your claims.
Nothing wrong with having opinions, but you should quote them as your own......not as the feelings of Canadians in general.
Meanwhile Sportsdude is still stuck in Tacoma, trying to find the best way to Seattle. Hang in there Sportsdude!

Aw, jeez, we've all taken turns bashing our "fellow" "canadian" - I just thought it'd be fun to point out that this bus was hijacked two pages ago!
Generally, it's nice to be here, eh? Not so much of that "f*ck you!"..."Oh yeah? f*ck you!!", type stuff that had become daily fare in....the other place...
wow my thread on getting from Sea-Tac to Lakewood highjacked.
