I think this is real, but these days who knows....

"... currently being test marketed, delivers a grande sized burst of caffeine with each blast while making your breath minty fresh."  I'm holding out for the next-gen needle version.

Not by very much, Lise.  I look at their prices an go home and drink my own good coffee.  But one of those Starbuck's inhalers would set me up nicely first thing in the morning.

Did you know they've raised the prices of their coffee recently?

[DIV id=datebar]LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - U.S. consumers aren't going to balk at paying an extra nickel for their daily cup of Starbucks (Nasdaq:SBUX - news) coffee despite high gas prices and other pressures on their wallets, analysts said on Friday.

Starbucks' announcement on Thursday that it will raise prices on drinks such as lattes and brewed coffee by 5 cents a cup came as a pleasant surprise to many on Wall Street, who said the move is sure to boost sales and earnings but unlikely to spook customers who see a trip to the chain as an affordable luxury.

"The price increase will see little if any resistance by the consumer," said JMP Securities analyst Kristine Koerber, who said traffic at the chain held steady two years ago after a more dramatic price increase. "It's gotten to be part of our daily routine."

$5.00 for a cup of hot water? Incredible.

I get a latte once in a while, but geez, it's $2.25 or so around here. $3.00 at the most. (I never go to Starbucks, I usually patronize the [a href="vny!://www.discoverseattle.net/locator/"]mom-and-pop places[/a]...)

Ack! Sorry Teh Borken. I buy three cups at once. Thats what I meant by ten cents more per coffee. Good catch.

One for me and one for my passenger. Then one more for me when I get to the college.

If there was a drive through mom and pops along the way for me I would go there. Normally Im not in college during my time off and I walk up to the nearest coffee shop with my iPod attempting to keep in shape.

i wish they would invent a sleep inhaler. 8 hours sleep per puff! Then another puff of the Starbucks inhaler!
