Title: Pancakes & Sausage On A stick
Post by: TehBorken on Sep 29 06 11:49
YUM! Science Marches On.

Yep, it's a real product as far as I can tell. From [a href="vny!://www.junkfoodblog.com/2006/07/jimmy-dean-chocolate-chip-pancakes.html"]T[/a][a href="vny!://www.junkfoodblog.com/2006/07/jimmy-dean-chocolate-chip-pancakes.html"]he Junk Food Blog[/a].

"The Jimmy Dean brand of breakfast food won my nod of approval when I found this lovely new entry.

Pancakes & Sausage on a Stick Chocolate Chip pretty much takes what my wife often eats at IHOP and puts it all on a hand-held form factor, allowing junk-foodies like us to revel in frozen food fanatacism. Better yet, these are microwaveable, so just nukem and pukem."[/b]

And what's with that "Jimmy Dean" brand name ?

I don't know whether James Dean fans will like this or hate it.

Back on the East coast, [a href="vny!://www.jimmydean.com/"]Jimmy Dean[/a] is a well-known brand of sausage products. No connection to the [a href="vny!://www.jamesdean.com"]ill-fated movie star[/a].

TehBorken, I would have been surprised to hear that there was any connection with the actual late James Dean. I was trying to imagine how real fans of James Dean would react to it. :)

They've had about 50 years to respond but I haven't seen any riots or protests yet.

Jimmy Dean is a redneck American has-been, who fancied himself a country/pop star in the late 1950s/early 60s. His one real hit was three minutes of hideous drawling crap known as "Big Bad John". He is arguably more well known than James Dean in certain parts of the American South, and is more known these days for his pork and right-wing politics. A vintage moron if there ever was one. (//forums/richedit/smileys/Teasing/3.gif)

He's on the left below; the younger woman is his [span style="font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;"]wife[/span]. Did someone say "Ol' Dirty Bastard?"

She knows where the money's hidden.  But she has to be stupid to think it's worth living with him and his redneck family.

To tell you the truth, I think it's still better to be a has-been than a never-will-be.
Don't you think ?

Suspecting the kind of heathen you are, I doubt very much it will have any effect ; but thanks anyway.
