They will just move the date ahead and try again. A new "prophet will come along, and a bunch of idiots will "ooh and ahh" for a while, and so on, ad nauseum. They are clean, but must be done under proper supervision, or else..ouch!
Running water through them keeps them clean and nicely slippery. (I mean the tubes, not the bodies! Or do I?)
