Well, global warming is imminent. It's sad but we can do our bits to help the environment like cutting back on cars, taking public transit, recycle.... all the little things will help in the end.

There's still hope, don't get give up. I'm hoping that the next generation, our children and their children will find a solution to end global warming.

The trolls on DV are idiots. There's no point in arguing with them. You could say, they're as bad as global warming. (//vny!://discoverseattle.net/forums/richedit/smileys/Teasing/22.gif)

Well,  individual awareness has definitely increased, now to see if the concerns of the 'little people' be  proportionately echoed by big business.

And, Brit Guy: Any chance of recyling Mr Blair?

yes, global warming is well under way.

there are things we can do,reduce your carbon footprint by acting alone (considering our political leaders have showed no leadership on the issue) in your daily life.

there will a tipping point soon where the earth will not be able to self correct or it will correct in an  increasingly harsher and harsher way (as we see with larger and wetter storms) becoming the norm.

I just saw the movie "Who Killed The Electric Car" and it made me livid. They had a car that could go atleast 90 miles (145 KM) on a single charge and they killed it because the oil companies told them to. This one guy created an electric car that can go zero to 60 in 3 seconds and can go 300 miles (483 KM) on a single charge. Instead of improving these electric cars the car companies took them from there customers and crushed them in the desert. They didn't want anyone to know that they built an electric car. And in the movie a Toyota guy said Hydrogen is really a pipe dream thats 30 years away and you can't run it in the cold because Hydrogen freezes and they don't know if its truely safe or not. (you know hydrogen bomb).

Arent they running hydrogen buses in Cali? I thought they were using retro fitted diesel engines with attachments manufactured by Ballard Fuel Cells?

Also I thought they were looking into these things for Van as well?

I stand corrected, I just visited google.

It DOES use Hydrogen, but doesnt burn it, just breaks it down into electrons(power), heat, air and water.

  Ballard Fuel Cell:

[img class=image-inline title="Ballard Fuel Cell" alt="Ballard Fuel Cell" src="vny!://www.ballard.com/images/image_gallery/technology/pem_fuelcell.gif" border=0]

  Heres the write-up:

Heres an animated thingy showing how the fuel cell works:
