Anyone know the likelihood of a male contracting the virus from a hiv female when safe sex WASN'T used? Anyont ever have sex with an hiv individual? Any thoughts?
Go get tested. [A onclick="addImg('icon/icon_smile_shy.gif')" href="jvascript:void(0)"](//vny!://www.discovervancouver.com/forum/icon_smile_shy.gif)[/A]
You'll find out soon enough.
I always practice safe sex. If I meet a guy worth the trouble, we will go get tested together before dropping the glove.
I'm pretty sure it varies with what kind of sex you were having (oral, vaginal, etc). I think for males and straight vaginal intercourse it relatively low, but there are a lot of other factors from what I can tell (overall health, any open scratches/sores/etc on the genitals).
It is not any lower for straight vaginal sex.
If you exchange body fluids, you are at risk.
Know your partner, get tested and go by the motto "No glove, no love."
Dale....I'm not criticising, but I'm a little shocked that you are thinking that way. It doesn't matter how or where you are exchanging bodily fluids. Please look into finding a source of information for your safety.
It doesn't really matter what type of sex you have but anal is more dangerous because its got the most fluids and blood and its more rough. Watched a doc on the outbreak of HIV in porn a couple of months ago and this one chick didn't get HIV because the man who had it came in her vagina instead of in the butt. If he had released during anal sex she would have gotten infected.
That sounds pretty peculiar to me, Sportsdude. I've always understood that it doesn't matter how it enters the body.....just that it does. I think I'd rather err on the side of safety on that one.
I say just dont do it! its stupid!
