Angel KO'S Tigger.
Angel has taken over Tiggers favourite Car. The white car is now Angel's! OH MY!
Angel used her annoying constant meow to her advantage and Tigger has had enough!
Ali v. Fraser is over.

Tigger had enough! Wanted to go outside. Couldn't take it. He is now licking his wounds. Holy Cow! What an upset!
And the slyness of age beats the aggression of youth once again!!!
That is funny! Cats are endlessly entertaining, whether you like them or not.
By the way, Kitten, I love your signature. Too true.
Thank you, Some Chick. I know my cat demands total obedience.
It explains why I'm not particularly fond of cats. They're smarter than I am. Somehow they have figured out how to have us cater to their every whim, yet they freely feed us attitude.
I only wish.
Does ANY cat not only demand, but also expect, and what's more GET total obedience?
I think that any cat that allows its person to dress him has lost a lot of self-respect. Other cats tend to look down on them. There are some things a cat simply shouldn't permit.
I suppose that we should thank them for the occasional benevolence of their rule.
They feel that frequent gifts and fine foods are the best way to show gratitude. They're the "Godfathers" of the animal kingdom.
I can almost imagine a cat nativity scene, with various gifts of cat food being left behind for the newly born kitten.
What a beautiful thought, Gopher! I like that.
A friend of mine knitted her own nativiity scene last year.
I'm trying to visualize a knitted Jesus and failing miserably.
It was very peculiar, it was made of free-standing figures, she'd even done all the animals...it was kept on top of a sideboard.
The three kings would bear gifts of catnip, litter and Fancy Feast.
Thhey'd be even more welcome if they all brought catnip. I wonder just what's in it that appeals to them, and what the nearest equivalent is for a human to relish.
Peculiar, indeed. What a strange thing to do, but as long as she's happy.............
Happy? She told everyone about it in her Christmas cards.
Now Tigger is depressed. He won't go outside at the moment where Angel is (she's laying on the porch table sunning herself. Tigger looks all paranoid. Tigger is only 1, and for the past couple of months we've babied him. Will he go a-wall?
Just keep up the babying!
No. His feelings are hurt right now, but he'll adjust to the situation and they'll get along just fine. They just had to settle who was boss, that's all.

I've been told that the nearest equivalent to catnip is marijuana. Cats get really happy and then they sleep it off. Now that I think of it, maybe you should give some to your cats, Sportsdude. That might mellow them out.
Maybe we should all try it, and see if our 'inner cat' responds.
Which? Catnip or marijuana?
Oh, catnip of course.
I would think it would be awfully dry to chew on. I plan to let my cat reap all the benefits.
I'm going to give it a try before long, maybe make some tea out of it. I'll let you know the results.
Now there's a thought. Catnip tea sounds a little strange, but then again, why not? It might be best iced in this weather.
Yes, that's a very good idea. There could even be a market for it, but I think it would have to go under another name (maybe the Latin?)!
Do you happen to know the Latin term for catnip? I grew some in a hanging basket one year and dried it for the cat, but during the growing season I noticed an army of cats coming through the yard and gazing at it longingly.
I'll look it up and lay it on you in a few minutes.
Believe it or not - Nepeta cateria
Thank you for pandering to my laziness. I should have looked it up myself, but I reasoned that you are the master of all things botanical.
I'm not. Google is. It's a strange translation though, isn't it?
It is. It must have been named fairly late in history, since I'm quite certain "cat" wasn't in the Roman language. Did the translation give any idea of who named it or when it was named?
I don't know, but I looked up the Latin for cat and came up with Cattus. I was surprised too.
That surprises me too. I had thought it would be more along the lines of "gato".
You eat those don't you? Oh, I see what you're getting at, as well as catnip tea, there could also be catnip gateau.
How about brownies? It seems fashionable to put herbs in them these days.
That's another good idea.
Thought I'd mention that I did not miss the pun. I've been laughing ever since.
Hmm. I'm pondering on the idea of a Feline Cafe - and an appropriate menu.
My cat would order the chicken and turkey in gravy, followed by catnip for dessert.
There's a strip-cartoon somewhere in this. I'd write more but I have to be off just now.
Have a pleasant day, and do try to stay as cool as possible.
Thank you, I will. In the meantime have fun with your fans.
i have had catnip before , in addition the old time when it was made with mary jane added ...
i have had catnip tea no mary jane , effects are simmilar to camomile (sp) tea a nice relaxed feeling with a genral sleepyness...
In that case, I'll save it for the cat. He enjoys it more than I would. At least he gets some bliss from it before he crashes.
Tigger's gone crazy. He's not mentally stable at the moment. Personality disorder.
A nice relaxed feeling, with general sleepiness? Sound as though it's just what I need to help to get me off to sleep in this too hot weather.
Poor Tigger has hurt feelings because his home has been taken over by Angel. He'll adapt eventually.
Hey SD, what's happening with the felines? Any progress?
The Cat wars continue. Tigger is not as crazy as he was, Angel just wants to be friends. He goesn't go grrrrrrrrr! as much anymore. Still hisses. But they are getting better.
That's great news, SD! Here's hoping they'll adjust in the long run.
Heck.... it almost sounds like marriage.
This is such a cute thread. =)
