Does this mean they will soon manufacture better vehicles with fewer recalls due to shoddy mechanisms?

This is good in my opinion because it finally means Renault is coming over here. (Even if the company isn't I can garuntee GM is going to use some of there platforms) The French rule at making small cars.

Depends. If they share platforms. I have a couple problems with GM.

1) They don't care about cars only trucks

2) They still use 1950's push rod engines

3) Horrible gas mileage

4) Not cool looking, always bland. They should rename Chevy the car of the witness protection program

5)Not safe

If they can fix these things they just might go back to them. But not likely, though. I've seen whats coming down the pipe at Toyota and Honda and it pretty much blows Detroit away.

Cavalier/Cobalt or the new Civic -- no contest there Civic by a mile

Impala or Camry --- a I don't like cop cars Camry

Aveo or Fit - Fit please

For example Toyota is coming out with this:

One car I wish Toyota would bring over here but I doubt there is a market for it yet. (Gas would have to go much higher for this beauty to come over here) car gets like 50 to 60 to the gallon but its smaller then the yaris, they call these cars city cars and you can see why. But they are cool.

And they are really cheap. Over in Europe they start at 4 or 5 thousand pounds which is like 10 grand over here.
