Title: Well tomorrow's the big day if that new stadium is going to pass in Vancouver

Its suppose to go in front of the Vancouver City Council tomorrow at 7:30pm.

With Canada mounting a bid for the 2018 World Cup I wouldn't be suprised if this passes but only 15,000? They say the can expand it which they obviously can by the look of the pictures (one end is not enclosed) but it would take away the view of the skyline and mountains.

But if it passes this also puts Vancouver on the fast track for an MLS team, easily which I believe is a good thing. Kids can't play hockey 24/7 and baseball is suprisingly growing. (I seem to remember a team from Surrey in the Little League World Series last year.)

Now if Vancouver could only get the Griz back.

No decision. Too many people wanting to talk. 93 groups, apparently.

I know the area that they're planning to put it.  I can not begin to imagine the nightmare that will be traffic if they put a stadium down there...  It's bad enough most hours of the day as it is.

Is it really? I must admit it kinda does, but then again where I'm from taking mass transit to a sporting event is considered treasonous.  The midwestern way is to take out the excursion back it with kids and drive 50 miles from the burbs to see a game.
