No, but the taste is.  It is necessary to taste repeatedly to get the full impact.

LOL. Good one, kitten. I wonder if the sound of beer is soothing as well?

Yes! That's it. Mellow 'pong'. Those are very soothing.

I know the ones you mean Lise.  They almost have a low mellow 'pong' sound.  Almost like a church bell.  Love the sound of those.

I like the heavier ones that sound a bit heavy... y'know what I mean... not the tinking sound... arh, I don't know how to described it.

I took the wind chimes off the back door and hung them on my bedroom lamp.  Now they only make a noise when I turn on the light.  Nice.

I tore down the windchimes we had on the back porch, nice for the first few weeks, then it drove me crazy, I could hear them all night long when my window was open.

What ones do you mean can be more nicer? I wouldnt mind having some up but the last ones drove me banana's

Only to a point, though.  After that it becomes irritating.  Several apartments here have them and some days it sounds like a noisy competition.

Hmmm.... the wind blowing wind chimes is lovely though. The good wind chimes, not the cheap ones that just hurt your ears.

Depends on the circumstances I guess. Be on a ship off the coast here, the North Sea offshore Scotland, or offshore Southern Africa during the winter season. You will be scared of the wind and mother nature, believe me lol.

Other than that I myself like the wind gently blowing when in nature.

A gentle breeze produces the opposite effect.  It's a lovely whispering sound.

Taken the words right from my brain, P.C. There's nothing at all soothing about the wind; in fact I find it at all times unsettling and bad-temper provoking

You're right Trollio, so many sounds are wonderful.  But I find I'm more likely to associate a 'favourite' sound with something tranquil, soothing or relaxing.....like water.

Wind is frightening and powerful and reminds you of the force of  Mother Nature.  It's amazing and incredible, but it isn't something that makes me feel better.
