haha that coin what a flop.
You can still find it en mass on metro transit lines.
Of course it was going to fail, they only had the coins at like Walmart and nobody could say the woman's name. And they missed their George.
coins dollars will never happen in the states, Americans hate the idea of carrying around coins. weighs us down apparently. lol

I am guilty of this once....when I was at Costco US and just needed a penny to cover the total bill and all I had was a Canadian penny but they didn't take it!

If we get rid of our pennies, will US follow suit?  uhm, hope I didn't ask a dumb question!

I heard as well the aussies and kiwi's dont have pennies. Seems to work for them...

a kiwi told me they don't have pennies in nz, said it was the greatest thing not to have pennies. They also don't have 5c either. 10,20,50,1,2. that's what they got.
aussies don't have the penny
swedes do 50c, 1d, 5d
norway 50c, 1d, 5d, 20d

  storekeepers can still advertise like 3.99. but after taxes and everything.. everything must round to 5's and 10's. Think gas prices.. they are advertised at 123.4 per litre.
