UN is a funny organization.
They don't get involved in eternal country's problems. Only when somebody invades someone. Plus China is on the secruity council.

  Why doesn't the UN step in and tell the authorities to stop killing all the protestors? Why isn't anyone doing anything?

Just think of Tiananmen Square in '89 Lise. Same thing going on except replace students with non violent buddhist monks.

I thought it's no longer call Burma. Myanmar or something like that?

  I just saw a bit of the news. What's going on there? Some monks were protesting but I don't know why. Can someone elaborate?
