Right, let's hear it. Whatcha bought recently?
Baby doll
Kid's socks and shoes
Books for the kids
A t-shirt from Zellers with the Olympics Beijing 2008 on it. (hey, it was only $13.00!)
A lot of gas to cruise around Washington State for a few days. Concert, biking, driving.
It was worth it though.
Beautiful place!
I'm about to go spend a small fortune on school supplies and gym shoes. Wish me luck.
Fortunately, I have boys...who don't require a new "back to school" wardrobe.

I think you'll find that laundry card easier to use then hunting of coins.
just purchased a house on a short sale......sorry to say I benefited from someone else misery, a family who was having difficulty making monthly mortgage payments. Convinced myself I was helping the family out before bank foreclosure.
B'day cards from good ole Dollarama.
Eggplants.
Smallish looking cucumber.

Might be more effective if you shave with blades instead of suckers.
Went to WalMart to buy school supplies and a backpack. Still have a few more items to buy.
Do you need to wear your Skeptic Cat glasses to shave? Or can you shave blindly?
Just in case your blind shaving gets out of hand.
Teach the cat to phone 911 and apply pressure to a wound.
I thought you men were born with the ability to shave in the dark. (http://discoverseattle.net/forums/richedit/smileys/Happy/20.gif)
TOO MUCH INFORMATION!!!!!
Spent $210 (ouch!) at SportMart on kids' shoes, but that's not too bad considering it was BuyOneGetOne50% and we walked out with 2 pr Nike basketball high tops, 2 pr skateboard shoes and 1 pr Nike gym shoes.
I'd rather spend a bit more and buy brand name sports shoes....the WalMart specials can't get a kid through one semester before they are kaput. And mid-week shoe blowouts are a pain in the @$$, when we need to take an emergency shopping trip and can't find the right sizes...and we need shoes for the next day.
The brand name shoes last an entire year...basically at least until the kid outgrows the shoe.
I've heard that you can get a good shave from a professional, instead of doing it yourself all the time.
last purchase - Wii Fit
I bought a new John Deere loader tractor.
My hubby prefers me not to come close to him with a razor. Actually, come to think about it, I rather not be anywhere in the dark with a razor and a naked man. *cough*
Oooooh, Wii Fit!!!! Does it work, purelife? I tried the Wii but the graphics are such a let-down. After the XBox 360, there's just no comparison. Got bored after awhile.
OK, back to the thread. I just bought my friend a bouqet of flowers because she came to work in tears. I hate to see ppl crying.

Tried it for the first time tonight. I was sweating. End of story. :)
Ok, recent purchases...
tonight, we were at Ikea. We purchased the hajdebe(sp?) bookcase that's on sale for $79, a couple of wooden mag holders, wire baskets for under shelf, a wooden box, a glass top for my dresser.... yep, Mr PL is FINALLY organizing his spare room.
Ooooooh! I have to come and visit your place soon, purelife! Sounds like the place is shaping up.
Ah, thanks Michel. I try to be nice at work. I hate the politics there but I know ppl do have feelings even if they're not the nicest.
Yesterday I bought four tissue boxes from Shoppers. *sigh*
Michel, I'm holding your hand and looking you straight in the eyes and asking you in big bold letters, "HOW DO YOU NOT KNOW WHAT THE HECK IS SHOPPERS???????"
You yank. Ahahaha.
Shoppers Drug Mart. (http://discoverseattle.net/forums/richedit/smileys/2.gif)
lol. Michel.
Going to Costco tomorrow.
Our place sure is shaping up. Now, it's only his room that has to be organized.
MrPL HEARTS his hand-crafted oak night stand....but it doesn't match with any of our furniture/paintings in our bdrm......*sigh*
ADD: Oh, I also purchased Egyptian cotton sheets, 410 tc, ivory color. LOVE EM! I had to spoil myself.
DIAMOND EARRINGS 1 X CT. EACH!
LADIES ROLEX 18CT ROSE AND YELLOW GOLD WATCH SET WITH DIAMONDS
LADIES 18 CT YELLOW GOLD WATCH
AND IM SHOPPING FOR AN ENGAGEMENT RING OF 2 CTS OF MORE
Really Gordy? When are you getting hitched?
we are not really sure. our only prob is we live in 2 different countries and have to sort that out first.im not putting any time barriers on it.
When two ppl love one another, distance shouldn't matter. I hope it all works out for you, Gordy. (http://discoverseattle.net/forums/richedit/smileys/Happy/21.gif)

Thanx Lise. Thats what we keep saying to one another. Hopefully this month!!! We are working on it at least we have the money to do what we want.
I managed to avoid buying an expensive musical instrument! Woohoo.
Heckyl needs the next size of violin. Rented one at Tom Lee for $11/mo.
Went to Costco, we need another freezer.
We saw one lady with 8 4L Milk bottles. What is she doing with all that milk? lol
ADD: Oh.... and I bought..... paprika.
.
.

Paprika Time!

One of those big Costco bottles of paprika? Don't spill any.....You will dye your laundry red!!
A lot of corner store and mom&pop restaurant owners buy milk at Costco.
Actually I bought the paprika at T&T in Richmond. I've been there a lot now, bought Dragon Fruit, Guava, steam chicken bun, rice rolls, Aloe Vera which is a Chinese pop drink apparently and peaches.
T & T rules, man! I love the place especially the cooked food section. I wouldn't touch the cold deli (stomach poisioning both times!) but everything else is yum.
This T&T is the one in Richmond that doesn't say explicitly that it is a T&T. Only on the receipt. lol
Roommates almost bought a turtle to cook, I'll never look at a turtle the same way again. lol
I don't wear flip-flops to T&T.
Someone always runs over my foot with a shopping cart.
Oh wait...did I say that out loud?
Are you a flip flop type of girl, LM? I don't really like wearing them except when I go to the beach. I don't know. I'm kinda sensitve about my toes.

I actually prefer sports sandals (better arch support). Mine are Columbia.
Brought this from Ikea but not in this color. We've been visiting Ikea a wee bit too often these days...moreso than Costco.

I really like my clothes hamper from IKEA. Its sweet.

Sacriledge! (sp??)
I bought a couple of masks from a guy that didnt speak english and had 7 teeth. Seriously, I counted them.
Im going to be hitting my favorite place soon after I get back..
Masks for trick o treating, Russ?
I bought some hard boiled egg shapers and some bento box mini condiment bottles at Daiso.....and some of their gorgeous wrapping papers for tsutsumi wrapping. (a big fascination for me). A set of mini stainless steel pots and pans and some little dishes from Ikea (?) (Lise.....you should check these out for your wee ones. Unbelievable quality set of pots and dishes for $6.99 for each set)
I bought a beautiful bracelet in an extremely funky place in Whistler for our kitty sitter.

Let's hope she still has arms left, so she can wear it. lol
Lil Me wrote: Let's hope she still has arms left, so she can wear it. lol
HAHAHAHHAHAAAAAA. Good point Lil Me.....I hadn't considered this. It's clear that this was NOT a thoughtful gift. I have had a terrible lapse in judgement. (http://discoverseattle.net/forums/richedit/smileys/10.gif)
a pretty journal.
I'm going to start keeping one.
Nice! I like the pretty notebook idea. I've started keeping a journal in the last month...but mine is in a school notebook from the $1 store.
Dug through the mountain of pants at Costco before I found a pair that fits.
Seems everyone else who shops there is a tall giant...Hey SD- need any pants?
Cheap pants at Costco.
I saw a tree taller than SD. Hah!
I bought stickers and bird seeds from Dollarama. Man, I'm so addicted to that place.
Chapters, Lil Me. They sell pretty journals there. Mine is green with a sparkly tree and pretty butterflies. :)
Well, I saw a GIRL taller than SD! And she was blonde. (not a joke...she was at the skytrain)
And I also saw a TALL policeman about 7ft. HOLY GIGANTICMOSES!
I manage fine, thank you. lol
really somebody taller then me? Sweet a once in a lifetime chance to feel small! woot woot
Nah the solution Michel is that wee tall people date wee average sized people thus creating kids around 5'10-6ft. lol
I have to duck in and to get out, but a mini cooper just fits me fine. Its hard for me to sit in the rows in a normal leg position, I either have to bend the knees outward and cross my ankles or sit facing the aisle. Same with public buses and airplanes.
I have a football player in one of my classes. I think I'm the biggest person on campus in terms of a height to weight ratio. Nobody on the basketball or football team comes close to me unfortunately. :(
I dunno, I hope my kids are shorter then me, the doctor always would freak me out when he said I was only in the 90th percentile in height. I wasn't 'off the charts'.
Dinner was bacon-wrapped steak with caesar salad. yumee!

6'2 and 5'10
grandparents 5'2 and 5'6 height skips a generation here, great uncle was 6'4.
grandparents 5'6 (i think) and 6'3, uncle is my height.
doc said I was going to be 6'3 and skin and bones.
that guy was funny.
I just hope the health clubs around the Vancouver area will have enough weight for you!
haha. I'm not a weight lifting fan, but they do.
