Ugh.... that's a really unflattering picture. I wear ones that are padded. So comfy, no underwire... hell, my girls are happy! (http://discoverseattle.net/forums/richedit/smileys/Happy/12.gif)

I can't believe you can get ones that you can remove those pads. The world has evolved finally!!!!

Yes yes!  I wear a sports bra all the time when I work out.  Super comfy.

I've got the champion brand two-pack from Costco's for about $25.  Cheap and awesome.

They have Calvin Klein two-pack bras for cheap and pantyhose packages and socks and undies...

You could easily be a Costco model. ;)

Women's World Cup '99

It was in the U.S. and the women's team is/was extremely popular. Broadcast live in the middle of the afternoon, huge ratings. US wins on a shootout where Brandi Chastain wins it in pk. Gets excited rips off her shirt.

Its one of the greatest pictures in sport. Although people now think that Nike told her to do it.

did i do something wrong again? heaven for bid I actually KNOW what I'm talking about.

[a href="http://www.sportsshooter.com/news/183"]http://www.sportsshooter.com/news/183[/a]

Among the commenters was Brandi Chastain, a former member of the U.S. National Women's Soccer Team. Chastain, who won two World Cup titles and two Olympic gold medals, knows a little something about controversial cover photos. At the 1999 World Cup, she scored the championship-clinching goal and tore off her jersey in celebration to reveal her sports bra — a moment that landed her on the covers of Sports Illustrated, Time and Newsweek. [p class="textBodyBlack"][span id="byLine"][/span]The celebration touched off an array of discussions about feminism, propriety, the impact it had on young girls, and, more simply, whether Chastain took off her jersey spontaneously or as a stunt.

No....you don't.  You know about this incident.  You know the results of this incident.  You know about Nike sales.

You don't know that Nike came on to the scene YEARS after sports bras became popular.  You DON'T know that women (myself included) were wearing sports bras 20 years before that incident.

sports bra revival, it became cool to wear it just working out and not covered by anything. Everytime you a woman working out in a sports bra without a t-shirt on, look to that incident.

Hey Lise- are you wearing your sports bra just for sports, or all the time?
Just wondering.  Great if you can wear one all the time...but I can't.  I need more, uhm, shape and definition from a regular bra.

Other ladies I know can't wear a sports bra all the time because they need more support (I don't have that problem...)

I really like the Triumph t-shirt bra, whcih often goes on sale at the Bay.

For sports, I wear the cheapo Joe brand sports bra from the Superstore.

hahahaha *belly laugh*

Title: Re: Sports Bra
Post by: Lise on Apr 12 08 08:48
To answer your question, no... not all the time, just during work hours because it requires a lot of physical workout. Those under wires get in the way all the time so the sports bra is a nice touch.

They have ones that are padded now so it's really, really comfortable. Plus you can take off tghe pads if you're going to do more labor intensive workout.

Triumph brand is pretty decent but I'm just discovering bras for the first time in years. Have you girls seen the Victoria Secret selection at La Senza? Apparently you can get them there!

I like this one too because you can wear it out with a jacket. (or not)

I wouldn't recomend doing any sports in this little number - the rice would spill out and the poor starving children in India would have nothing to eat.  What the hell is that a spair set of chopsticks in her armpit???

I think it comes with an internal, lubricated warmed sytem to eliminate any possibility of pain in the wrist. lol

to think this all started with Lise sharing a tip about an undergarment - and now it has been debased to a discussion of lubricated touch mice ... what does this say about us as human beings ... oh yeah - mostly we are interested in sex - i remember now(//forums/richedit/smileys/7.gif)

I have a kicker of a story - a friend of mine was in labour giving birth to her first daughter - so she's in a fair bit of pain  (//richedit/smileys/Shocked/1.gif)

The doctor says to her ... It's a lot easier gettin' em in than gettin' em out!!!     (//forums/richedit/smileys/Angry/1.gif)

I think this was in Alberta if that makes this any easier to believe

Me insensitive? lol.  Not really, it's just the Spears family... Nobody cares about them other then that Leave Britney alone guy on Youtube. More important things in the world then to care about celebrity's personal lives. My life doesn't suck to the point that I have to live vicariously through a magazine rack and watch the 15 entertainment so called news shows on tv. (//forums/richedit/smileys/Happy/5.gif)

Speaking of Sports Bra... I really want to google pictures to see if there is a bra "TV" where the guy can watch his sports on.

BUT - because I'm at work and not at home, I'm afraid of what "sports tv bra" search would bring up.
