(Read the following with a Brit accent out of Liverpool)

I say,  "good morning every one."bless you all this day. May it be a peaceable and profitable day for all of you. (Take care, may God bless you and go with you this day)

Sadly this is not a very good morning for me. It is good thing that I awoke, so it means I am at least not dead yet so that's a good thing . The bad part is that I am awake, I went to bed just before  midnight and have slept approximately a total of  70 to 90 minutes, in 5 to 15 minute intervals. After nearly 4.5 hours of this I got out   of bed and said to hell with this. I came here to write this as I have a glass of water.

If you are interested To read more on how I am feeling you can click > [a href="http://discoverseattle.net/forums/index.php?topic=6625.new#new"]here.[/a]

No offense Orik but I'm not going to click that. I can see you're having a terrible day and for that I'm extremely sorry. My day started a few hours ago. So far so good and I'd like to keep that way. Reading something bad will only fill my heart with negativity. I'd like to try to avoid that if possible. I do hope you get the much needed sleep you desire. May angels kiss your dreams.

  Good morning everyone else!

Oh no, just a lame textual interpretation of how an Irish person would say "Good Morning" or a Newfoundlander and Labradorian.  (Rex Murphy was on tv when I typed it, hence the Newfie reference)

The picture box is a yellow postcard showing a mountain. It's on the bottom row of rich text editor located next to the world calendar with a 1 to its left and the insert clip art smilie face with a santa hat on the right.

What is your current browser? Are you in 'rich text editor' or 'normal text area' as your default on this board? That could be the problem.

The "Add image" button looks like this: (http://discoverseattle.net/forums/richedit/buttons/insertimage.gif)

Click it, then type in the location of the image. It's got to be somewhere on the web, where it can be seen in a browser. You can usually right-click on an image and then select "Copy image location" to get the URL of the image into your clipboard.

You can also upload an image by clicking this button: (http://discoverseattle.net/forums/richedit/buttons/upload.gif)
Select the image and upload it (size limits may  apply), then you'll be asked to click the image to insert it into the post. If all goes well, it'll show up in the post:

Hang in there Orik. I'm a former (or soon to be current probably) night worker. I know how it feels to go to bed when everyone is getting up. sucks.

Thanks SD I worked day shifts for years.. 8 am to 5 pm for 12 years... then 1 month of 2 am to 10 am and my body just refuses to sleep at nights... I have always been a natural night owl it is my body's bio rhythm it just feels normal to sleep in the day and be awake all night.

The problem is I just cant seem to sleep at night anymore, maybe it is because I have no real work and don't do much of anything all day except read the want ads, job posting sites & the bulletin boards. Sometimes I even call the former employers to see if they have any shift work that needs to be filled.

Right now my biorhythm is out of whack and needs to be kicked in to days or nights. It just can not seem to make up it's mind perhaps it is time to ask for medical intervention again. I just hate to use pills but they did help the last time and I did get real sleep. Something I am desperate for.

The chronic headaches do not help, I am feeling so discombobulated, sore back, arms, the neck feels on fire, all the body's muscles are sore and fatigued but I have done nothing so strenuous that they should feel this badly. If I didn't know any better I would say I am constantly coming down off L.S.D. because sure as hell fire that is what I am feeling like.

I have not used any soft drugs or hard drugs which includes being free from using L.S.D. Since the early 1990's. At this current moment in time, I want to swear using some foul blue words, I feel like voicing some very crass invective here, consisting of a bunch of four letter words a bit of french dialogue minus translated subtitles and end it all with a couple of classic taking the lords name in vanes and end it with a old fashioned God damn it all to hell....

I slept all night & did not wake once during the evening, thank the light. I woke up just a bit past 6:30 AM this morning. However on a negative note I am feeling a bit of the dog though, red eyes, sore throat and feeling a little blah I just hope I am not getting sick.

Edit ahaha Some guys umbrella got blown inside out and out of his grasp and the brolly is flying down the side walk, the old guy is chasing after it waving his arms, lol glad I am not out there right now.

lol.. I would've like to see that. For some reason I enjoy giggling at the misfortunes of others. As long as it's nothing serious or painful. Ok sometimes I still giggle when it looks painful. But not serious injury painful... that's just mean.

If I had only had the web cam going, I could of  got some arial pics & video of the of the bumble shoot incident, alas it was not on at the time. So only the visual memory on replay of the poor fellow chasing his brolly.

I like laughing at the none serious misfortunes of others. Having been on the receiving end far to many times of such calamities it is only natural to laugh at the misfortune of others for it could have just so easily have been us on the receiving end once more.

Have you ever had a car meets puddle,  puddle meets you accident ?

It has happened to me on a number of occasions over the past 40 years of life, It is not fun, but it sure is funny when you see it happen to somebody else.

I change, start cleaning house, she calls again, needs me there later on instead.. aye aye aye. Weekend work is with my other patient, she's difficult and I'm NOT looking forward to it. Oh well at least I get to a BBQ party thingy tomorrow after work.

Good morning Everyone....... happy Friday to all
and to all a Happy Max Million Friday.

Do not forget to go out and purchase your 5 dollar ticket and your approximately 1 in a 80 million shot of becoming the next mega rich person in Canada.

For those Americans wanting to buy a ticket, I can offer my services for a mere 6.50 and for a low rate of 7.50 if you want to say yes to the extra. Without the extra that lotto max ticket is a mere 5 dollars Canadian or if you want to get nit picky with the cost of pay pal service fees it is approximately 6 dollars and fifty cents per 7 numbers from 1 to 49

Cut off to purchases your ticket is today @ 6 PM PST Friday. June/11/2010...

If you want me to purchase a ticket for you, You have to cover the cost of the paypal wire fee, With that donation to my paypal & your list of 7 numbers from 1 to 49 you are agreeing that you are over the age of 19 in Canada and that you shall pay to me a 10 percent agreement of any winnings on said ticket. You can give a larger share if you wish, than the agreed upon 10 percent, should you feel like it. =P

Please note this is not entirely legally binding, this is for fun and that I do not guarantee that your will win. I can not be held legally or financially responsible should you chose to wire me any money and you are agreeing to this. Now if your chosen number do win & that is a very big if...If your numbers win. I get 10 percent =) of those winnings.

If you do not agree to that well you can just do some cross border shopping and buy your own lotto Max ticket...

I wish every one a Won-derfull day :) Good Luck

D, R.M is just another coward, you probably know the ones I am talking about D, the kind of one's that like hiding in the shadows, one of those psychotic nut jobs that stalks folks and jumps them in some sort of angry rage over something that is long forgotten. R.M is probably someone so insignificant & beneath noticing they have to go around asking people to remember them.

You know I just thought of something, Maybe just maybe R.M is that crazy stalker that calls me all hours of the days or nights just breathing and never saying anything. To drunk or cowardly to say anything at all. Well if that is you R.M that crazy stalker that continues to call here.

Well I say to you now, Go get some help! seek out some professional help try down at the booby hatch or loony bin. You know that place called the psychiatric asylum, the place you seem to have escaped from & the one place you actually belong in. Don't forget to ask the doc's to increase your med's while you are at it, because you seem to be off them again..

It is also quiet possible he or she is one of those useless tit's that works over at Telus.  One of the ones who probably broke my flaming phone as it is. Either way D, it doesn't matter...

I just wish Telus would hurry up and fix my phone. The Plus side of not having a phone is that My crazy stalker has not been able to call me and just sit there breathing into the phone.. Another plus is no damn telemarketers or credit card idiots no more phone calls going you won a trip just press 9 now to claim your prize. Sh*t does anyone actually fall for those things anymore ? .. Flaming idiots and ass-holes..

The Bad side is, I can not call the bank or my EI representative, nor can I call my union rep or the insurance company . I am also worried I will miss a call from the hospital about when I have to go in for a cat scan and that is a important call. I also don't know if I have to do more blood tests for a check on my creatine levels... I miss my phone, worse yet, what if there is a fire or an emergency...I am not even able to dial 911...

sighs... ah well i am rambling and complaining to much.. time for a cup of tea and back to waiting for Telus to show up, if they ever do...

To every one, except my stalker Telus & RM.  I wish you all a great morning and a fantastic weekend.

Hahaha no Irish girls were around last night (although they are everywhere here in the summer while on a work visa)
First I sort of hated their accent, it always seemed too comical to be real. Now I'm warming up a bit, I suppose.

No, spent the night writing up for this job that pays no real money but will just be something to past the time.

Still haven't slept. Just rested as if I'm on the computer sleep mode.

Thank you Natasha. It is the little things you miss most.

Can I have you over to do my walls and floors as well. That is one of the things I miss about my health, I can not do the hard work any more =(  When you need assistance to do your own grocery shopping because you can barely walk because of pain and fatigue.

I can't even stand in line at the bank for to long, with in 10 to 15 minutes the pain gets to be to much. I am in so much pain I am literately dripping in sweat and forced to sit down because my legs are shaking from the pain that is shooting through the thighs in to the toes.

I miss being able to do the small things, like getting up without pain or having the disks of the back lock so I can not straighten out. Or worse yet when the legs go numb and you end up losing control  of the bladder because the nerves are misfiring sometimes it gets worse fall down because the legs just give way because they do not listen to the commands you are telling them the left one goes right the right one goes left.

I hate my life sometimes. It is so bloody frustrating at times being trapped in a body that won't listen to the things I tell it to do.  thankfully I know if it ever gets to be so sick and so out of controll i have the option out of a nice peaceful drifting off into sleep and never awakening. I swore to myself i would not end up in a hospital bed on machines. and i wont. people ask ho0w myou think yo uwill die. i already know one of 3 things is going to occur

disease and body failure, possibly heart attack or stroke before things are out of my control I would rather go by suicide preferably by my own hand but assisted if it has progressed beyond my own means. I have 2 friends who have sworn if it comes to it they are willing to assist me in my method of choice when it comes time to go. 1 has sworn to steal the sail boat if needed first time i had laughed in quite some time when he promised that.

Time keeps moving I pray I will for as long as I am able.

I'm so sorry to read of all your illness, Orik. I would like to say I understand how you feel but all I can really say is I'll keep you in my prayers.  I'm sure all those reading are grateful to you for reminding them to take advantage of the life and abilites they have now.

Suicide? Are you not worried about your eternal soul finding peace? And asking someone to assist you is a nice way of asking someone to murder you. Are they not worried about that stain weighing on them either? Just seems to me that if they were truly your friends they'd try to take care of you, make you as comfy as possible and so on. Not murder you. And what type of friend are you asking someone to kill you? If you don't have the balls to kill yourself before you get so bad off why leave that burden on someone else?

Morning Gopher. DDD Natasha and everyone else on DS today. I hope every one else's day is stress free.

  Now then Natasha

I do not worry so much any  more about my souls finding eternal rest. I either will or I won't. What  comes here after is then. This is now. The only thing my 2 mates will  need to assist in, is getting the sail boat as I requested. As for the  rest accidents can and do happen, my life wont be on any one else's  hands but mine from that point forward.

I believe a person has a right to go out as they choose, so long as they  do not harm any one else when they take there own life by harm I mean  physically not emotionally. There will always be those who are going to  have some emotional pain or attachment and can not accept what has  happened.

Sometimes things in life prevent you from doing it yourself my parents  can not accept this the first time I brought it up with them. They  refused which is there right. My brother was dead set against it also,  finally he came around to see that I was right it is my life and my  choice. I am sorry that it sounds like you can not accept it either.  Some can, Some can not. When  a person is born they had no real choice  in that matter, most of us have no choice in the method of our own  deaths.

For now I wake up and I am thankful to be alive, to still be able to move and have my freedom. However one day will come where I can no longer do so freely, when the pain will become so much that the medications will make me a prisoner of my own body and to me that is a living nightmare. For now I still have the freedom  of almost full mobility even if my body does not always do what I would want it to and will continue to enjoy my life until the day I no longer can.

I like to think some countries and people have learned to recognize that  suicide and assisted suicide aka euthanasia are viable options and that  is is a personal choice and can be beneficial for some. Some people are  very tired of the living hell they are in. When you live with constant  pain 24 hrs a day 7 days a week.  When your own body becomes a prison  and your thoughts constantly go to that thought of how death will be a  welcome relief.

Sleep is often like death. When the lights go out they are out. I have a  feeling death is just the beginning of the rest of our lives. I will  see what is on the other side when I get there. If my death is to  someday be by my own hand. Well then it will be at my own choosing the  time, the place and the method. mind that is still a day far off God  willing. If it is by my own hand one day so be it.

I pray that is still away in the future. It probably wont ever come to  my taking my own life but I like knowing that I can have that option. it  would be better if it was not still illegal to do so. I pray the  Canadian government can also come to realize Suicide is a choice.

What ever method a person does chose to go out they should have the  right to die with dignity and be respected for there choice. They should  also have an option to choose some one to be there second if they are  not able to do it themselves. they should have the right to have someone  to assist them on there final exit. The Japanese have a second when  they commit Seppuku - Ritual Suicide. In Japanese that was the kaishaku   (kie-shah-kuu), or assistant, who was responsible for cutting off the head  after the person had sliced his abdomen open. The second is generally a  close friend or  associate. I see nothing wrong with having some one to assist me  if I need it.

Belgium and the Netherlands are the only countries  in Europe that have legalized euthanasia. Nevertheless, the drive  toward legalized euthanasia is taking place in other countries with  varying degrees of success.

France, the government and the parliamentary majority refused to  legalize active euthanasia but last year passed a law allowing doctors  to interrupt care to a dying patient under certain conditions.

The Socialist government of Spain is considering legalizing euthanasia,  especially since the pro-euthanasia film "Mar Adentro" by Alejandro  Amenabar played to wide public success.

Switzerland allows assisted suicide; assisted suicide differs from  euthanasia in that the physician only provides the person with the means  of committing suicide. As a consequence, Switzerland has seen an  upswing in "suicide tourism," with citizens of other nations traveling  to the Alpine country to end their lives,

They are still assisting you. They are only doing the lesser of the crime.

I believe a person has a right to go out as they choose,

I agree so long as it is in an extreme case. If you believe you're going to be murdered, how will you go? Fighting for your life or will just hand them your life? Suicide may be a choice but IMO it's a weak way to go.

so long as they do not harm any one else when they take there own life

So what if as time goes by they admit they assisted you in your suicide. You don't think those claims will be investigated? If they are investigated and found to be true, wont your friends do time for their part in your death? Isn't chancing this a form of harming someone else?

by harm I mean  physically not emotionally. There will always be those who are going to  have some emotional pain or attachment and can not accept what has  happened.
You forgot mentally. Do you honestly believe your "friends" will never second guess their decision and effort?  Physical pain heals. Emotional pains teaches. Mental pain burdens us with guilt which can be hard to deal with.

I am sorry that it sounds like you can not accept it either.

You have no need to be sorry for my point of view on the issue. I believe in fighting for your life. I believe one should try to go with dignity. Suicide is a sign of weakness ..imo. If anything, it's I who feels sorry for you.

When  a person is born they had no real choice in that matter, most of us have no choice in the method of our own  deaths.
All I'm getting from everything you say on the issue is that, suicide is a choice... well, that's a given. But don't make it seem justified. Don't sugar coat what the choice really is. You say you aren't worried about your soul finding eternal peace but yet you've mentioned praying for this and that. Why pray? You're willing to take the easy way out. You're willing to wrongfully involve two innocent people and you're not worried about your afterlife... why pray?

I like to think some countries and people have learned to recognize that  suicide and assisted suicide aka euthanasia are viable options and that  is is a personal choice and can be beneficial for some.

Some countries may but unless you live in one of those countries then assisting in someones suicide is murder. I will never believe suicide is a viable option. There are people who commit suicide because their lover left them, they lost their job..etc. Some people do not have the ability to make a sound safe decision intelligently. Some allow their emotions to over ride all senses and rashionality. Those people should not be given the option of a care free or assisted suicide.

If it is by my own hand one day so be it.
And if we ever hear of it, I'll pray for your family for I believe losing someone to muder, some who's life was taken early in years or losing someone due to suicide is a much harder grief to bear.

I pray the Canadian government can also come to realize Suicide is a choice.
Everyone already knows suicide is a choice. That's why is called suicide. As I said some people are over emotional beings and as soon as something doesn't go their way, they become suicidal. Some get over it, some do not. It would be odd to have the government say "you can commit suicide under these conditions. But first you have under go a screening process to make sure you're suicidal thoughts/feelings are justified".

What ever method a person does chose to go out they should have the  right to die with dignity and be respected for there choice. They should  also have an option to choose some one to be there second if they are  not able to do it themselves.

So you want suicide to be a fair option that will hold dignity and respect? But yet, "some one to be there second if they are  not able to do it themselves."  Umm why should I respect their decision or feel they died in a dignified manner?

they should have the right to have someone  to assist them on there final exit.

And they do. For me, it's God and my family being by my side. For others it's who ever or what ever they believe in.

The Japanese have a second when  they commit Seppuku - Ritual Suicide. In Japanese that was the kaishaku   (kie-shah-kuu), or assistant, who was responsible for cutting off the head  after the person had sliced his abdomen open.

 That's gross.

I see nothing wrong with having some one to assist me if I need it.
You don't see anything wrong with it because you're in a desperate, hard and frustrating situation which we all feel bad about for you.

There is a long road ahead and each person has to come to figure out  where they stand on the issue of euthanasia, you all already know my  opinion on this matter.
Yes sir and you all clearly know mine. So far as I'm concerned there's nothing left to discuss.

As I like to say everyday above ground is a good one.

I wouldn 't say that as not everyone who dies gets buried.

Thankful to be alive for one more day.

Now this I can agree with  =)

And the pain a person lives with everyday as there body gets weaker and weaker as they slowly become entombed in a living crypt what of that pain... there is some pains and illnesses that are slow and painful to endure. Sickness's i would not wish on my worst enemies.

People die everyday. other people will never know Sickness or disease other people will watch loved ones slowly eaten away from the inside out and watch them die a slow & horrendously painful death. others will Die a slow painful death.

There is few choices Medicated to the nines, So you end up stoned out of your head so you do not even know your own name or the state of reality you will still die but you wont be aware of it.. Non-medicated but you know who you are but you are in pain. When the medications I take stop working or if  I need so much drugs  just to stop the pain and my body ceases to work when I tell it to, then will be my time to check out.

As it is there is very little medications i can take now to stop the neropathic pain. that is nerve pain. Imagine spilling a cup of boiling hot tea you get burnt but the pain stops after a second. The nerve pain I have feels like that, but it does not always stop it. Sometimes the pain lasts for hours and the very strong doses of pain medications I take do very little to help.

They will alleviate it a little bit If I take higher doses, but the problem with that is I spend the day sleeping Or I am out of it. So out of it  I do not know my surroundings. My choices suck.. I live with the pain and make the best of it.  Only a few more days and i will be back in to the hospital after that Hindi ko alam. (I don't know) I  know this much I will not survive long after that. I hate hospitals. Hate Hate Hate them.

Thank you PC and D.

Orik, I honestly do understand what you're saying and I understand your reasoning. I just believe in helping others fight for their lives not end it. I think if a person wants to commit suicide then they should bear that choice and that action on their own.

I wish i was exempt from the HST

I paid over 34 dollars in HST this past month on my phone bill is 10 dollars worth, on my cable bill was the highest at 14 dollars worth. water bill 4 dollars worth and the monthly grocery bill with 6 dollars worth.

and the corner store tried to charge me hst on 1 bottle of lemon juice and a bag of sugar.. neither item is allowed to be taxed.. they are common groceries items.. however the pre-made bottles of Lemonade are not tax exempt, unless purchased as a case lot then they are tax exempt.

Figuring out the way HST works is so confusing.. well it is to me at any rate..

 anyways

It is a beautiful morning and no police tape blocking off traffic so I guess that means there were no gristly savage beatings or attempted murders on this block last night. Unlike the night before...

I hope every one else is having a wonderful afternoon too.. Peace be with you all. Ingat my friends ( that means take care)

No issues really, Russ. Just odd weather in general. Hot one day, cold the next, raining the following day and all the while the weatherman is calling for snow. I hate this type of weather. Makes getting over a cold damn near impossible. A body never knows what to wear. You always have to carry an umbrella and extra jacket in the vehicle... just in case.

I hate cold weather but at least then I know what I'm dealing with on daily basis.

Morning!

Dont know what I prefer to be honest. Rain or snow. I like and dislike both. Biggest thing for me when its snowing is all teh bloody pedestrians all over the streets, just walking out.. Im already going slow, and it takes a bit to stop. I especially liek the ones that are in the middle of the streets, see you are behind them, and keep walking in the middle of the street.

That was from last year mind you.. havent been at home yet in this lovely weather.

Where I live pedestrians act like they own the street, parking lots and everything inbetween regardless of the weather. We get younger people walking in groups shoulder to shoulder taking up an entire lane. It's so annoying. What keeps me from seriously running one down is beyond me.

lol   morale dilema, lawsuits, jail.... that's about right! I try to keep in mind these are usually teens and I remember what I was like at that age so that helps keep my blood pressure down and my foot eased off the gas pedal.

Well, I guess thats true depending on where in the world everyone is.
I still find I get messed up all the time now with time differences. My poor body and internal clock lol. It doesnt matter when I try to nap or sleep, at any time my body will strive for 5.5 hours of sleep then thats it for the day. Whether its day or night. Ive obviously confused it too much.

So.. morning!

Confusing your body is easily done. There are days when I feel I'm simply going through the motions due to the lack of a solid sleep schedule. The worst is when I'm sitting down with my eyelids weighing down so heavy, my head is hurting and I could literally fall over from being so sleepy but when I lay down to sleep or nap I'm immediately wide awake.

I'm usually not here in the morning so forgive me for saying "good night wonderful people".

I forgive you everything., Good morning, Natasha - and all who follow in your wake.

You forgive me for everything? I'd like to know what I did to you that was so wrong that it warrents a statement like that. If there's something bad I did, intentially or not, I'd like to give a proper apology.

I missed the "good morning" again  =(   Sooo good evening everyone  :)

It's all in how you look at it. Hate your job or be thankful to at least have a job. Either way, things will get better  :)
