Cool. This guy built a "Matrix" APU costume. I want one of these, too.

It was a dark and stormy summer.  No, that's not quite right, it was   actually murderously sunny and clear, but I need an explanation why I'm spending time in   my superheated garage working on a costume for Halloween.  For background on a couple of my past costume projects, click [a href="http://hallert.net/apucostume/apucostume.htm#Background"]   here[/a].[/p]   This year, I've decided to build an APU (as featured in The Matrix films).    If you've seen either of the last two, you should be familiar with this beast.    Essentially, it's a large bi-pedal robot with a human driver.  My plan will   be to build a sub-scale version that I can wear and that looks like I'm being   carried by it.[/p][span style="font-weight: 700; text-decoration: underline;"]Design goals[/span][/p]  [ul type="circle"][li]It should look good and be recognizable as an APU (well, duh).[/li][li style="font-weight: bold;"]I should be able to wear it without dying.  My last Mech costume was so   heavy and awkward that I could only wear it for 20-30 minutes before either   passing out or losing blood from chafing.[/li][li]It should look like I'm sitting in it.  If at least one person asks   'Who's under there?' or something to that effect, I'll have definitely met this   design goal.[/li][li]It needs to break down for transport and storage.  My Mech costume   haunts my garage.  I'm unwilling to just throw it away, but it's 'uge!    I don't know what to do with it.[/li][/ul][a href="http://hallert.net/apucostume/apucostume.htm"]http://hallert.net/apucostume/apucostume.htm
