things are going well.. although its been grey and rainy most of the time here with some teasing signs of sun.
I just got reports that the pH levels in my fishtank back home were off and both my large angelfish and my HUGE algae eater died :( Ive had them for almost 5 years. Ah well... a good excuse to get a bigger fishtank than the one that I have and buy a bunch more fish.

Ah, well I don't think we need to be worried, he probably has a bad internet connection. News wise only dangerous thing that's happened in his region is the usual Niger Delta with pipeline attacks in Nigeria.
Hello! Yes problems with net connection. The power that was supplied to the vessel when we were in drydock was varying.. and it fried the satellite circuits! Only about 20k to fix. Pocket change really right? lol.
Im now in ghana.. Well, technically Accra, Ghana. REAL nice country actually. The police arent trying to rob you here. Im off the ship, my relief FINALLY showed up after taking an extra few days and not coming back on time. Im sitting in a hotel, and actually have free internet this time.
I about to head down to the bar for a few beers.. <sigh> been needing them. It was a catastophe with all the things that we had problems with AFTER we left the drydock.. supposedly with a fixed vessel.

Been really busy the last while.. and will continue to be busy with projects.. Latest one is the toyota readying for camping this weekend. I had to put on new shock towers, shocks, redo the valve cover gaskets, and the intake gaskets. Then as I put earlier somewhere..redo the damn radiator!
I still have to rewire my stereo which I did something to last trip out.

Picked up some steaks, salad, and other trimmings on the way home and had a great meal. Few people stopped by and my parents showed up from the island just as I was starting to get the steaks ready so we all sat down and caught up.

Yeah they loved it. One of the guys that drove them up had just bought a new truck.. and decided to bring it much to our worry. He did scrape branches along the sides on teh way to the place, but otherwise nothing to worry about.

Hey all. FINALLY off the bastard boat. THE worst trip ever. Everything went tits up that could. We had a new guy onboard that just didnt care.. I basically ran, ordered, and directed everything.
Im over my time as my relief quit one before I was due off. My relief finally arrived after visa problems and then wanted me to stay with him for a week. We compromised. I gave him a walkthrough, and 3 hours of my time before walking off the vessel.
Im looking for another company.
Im still here in Soyo.. but head to Luanda tomorrow then home tomorrow or the next time.

Morning! Finally got home yesterday. Didnt feel like doing much so we went out to Red Robbins and I ordered three entree's. lol. the waitress thought I was nuts.
They were snacks for later last night. My brother threw out my patio heater so Im buying a new one and getting him to pay for it. He didnt like the fact the element had rusted out and when you lit it, there was a foot high flame. Scared the neighbor too aparently.
Thanks for the wellwishes, Gopher, PL, PC and of course SD! So what did you do for your bday there SD? Hopefully it included copious amounts of booze and women of questionable virtues.
Well, today is shopping and beer runs.
