Thanks for the travelogue tip...(puke).

Pitbulls kind of remind me of myself.  No matter how nice I am, some people tread carefully around me.

Bonds between species can be very strong.  I heard a story about a farm dog that befriended a pig.  After the pig was slaughtered and the farmer tried to feed it some of it to the dog, the dog refused to eat it, then started howling. It became very depressed for a long time.  Parrots have a long lifespan, and can go through similar levels of grief when their human companions die, and sometimes don't recover.

Orik is a poet. Leave him alone.

Somewhat, but my neighbor's pitbull was more definitely responsive than the one in this photo.

Discover Seattle! / Tragic Love

I've had some ongoing propety disputes with the owner of a female pitbull. Recently, was explicitly warned to keep my adventurous and overy frisky male chihuahua off their property...or else.  Frankly, I'm a little worried.  My chihuahua has had the hots for that female pit-bull for quite some time -- I swear he looked really moved when the Jim Croce song "Roller Derby Queen" was playing on the radio:
"I fell in love with a Roller Derby Queen
Round and round, oh round and round
The meanest hunk o' woman that anybody ever seen."
Anyway, I'm pretty sure they've consummated their love. Hey, I couldn't see clearly -- it was in the distance, chihuahua's are small, and the position wasn't standard.

As I understand it, DV mods are unpaid volunteers, working hard to enrich Mike, while anybody who has the audacity to harness DV's considerable traffic to promote good things such as important cultural events (and, God forbid, even make a buck or two) is treated like a leper and a pariah.  Typical mentality of corporate servitude.  I remember the shrieks of protest when I promoted the excellent William C. Martell Script Secrets Screenwriting seminar in Vancouver, which was a great success with a with big turn-out.

I loaded it up properly, but it's not showing up (wink wink, nudge nudge).  Here's the link: [a  href="http://www.ShortScriptContest.com"]www.ShortScriptContest.com[/a]

Who has ever quit a job......and why ?

My great grandfather (google 'Pink Pills for Pale People') once said, "A winner quits at just the right time, but a loser never quits until it is too late."

Do you have an entertaining story that would make an entertaining short film?

I just noticed a sudden disappearance of my smites and an abundance of blessings for me. This is most mysterious.  But, I do feel reassured that the cosmos are in order by the presence of 9 new smites that someone (hopefully, a  Bush-loving conservative) has been taking offense to me.

This is not the first time that a PQ leaders have expressed bigoted or insensitive sentiments against Jewish people, against "foreigners" (immigrants), and now towards Asians. The PQ seems to be so engrossed in their victimhood that they have difficulty in having sensitivity and respect towards others.

I would say, "Could I have your autograph?  Please sign it, ahem, right here."

Occasionally people will recount anecdotes from their past that may have been of great significance in their lives, but they express them in such a way that people don't understand them. This can be quite confusing. Even so, sometimes they are very useful to them.

Interesting observation, articulately expressed. You're weren't being deliberately vague, unlike one of us here. There are a number of methods a person can use to tell stories so that people understand them. I'm generally more interested in listening to people than talking about myself (though, I am talking about myself, saying this).

It goes over real well at cocktail parties, delivered with a smiling face and chirpy voice.  Then I bring up the weather and celebrity gossip with a disconcerting intensity. That really throws them off.
