I have a hard time trying to figure out this mans popularity.  He's kinda like the 'Jerry Springer' of the news world.  Is there something I'm not seeing ?

There is a specific set of questions, that when asked to a 3 year old, enables them to tap into memories of their life in the womb.  Has anyone heard of this ? ......and does anybody know what these questions are ?

Marik, you'll be happy to know, there is a doggy version of the Icanhascheezburger.  [A href="http://ihasahotdog.com/"]http://ihasahotdog.com/[/A]     I remember that you were never a fan of the kitty pics.

A ruling in Victoria, will now allow the homeless to set up tent towns in the city parks.  This seems like a decision with absolutely no foresight.  By allowing this, will it not violate loitering laws, public urinating laws....and I'm sure several others.  I can't help wonder what these parks will look like a couple years down the road.  Would it be OK for everyone or anyone to camp in the park for free ?  It seems like this is opening a big ol can of worms....and in the end, accomplishes nothing for the homeless problem.

  Any thoughts ?

Where I was staying for the week, they watched it in the squatty squishy mode......drove me bananas.

LOL.....How weird is this ?  The Scan Toaster connects to a PC over USB and downloads everything from local weather conditions and the current time to the morning's news headlines.

I found this guys writing hilarious.....similar in style to our TehBorken's writings (which I always enjoy).  (it's a little gross....but still amusing).  It's called.....Steve....Don't Eat It.

I need someone to talk me down, before I hoof my computer into next week.

I don't know what the H I'm doing wrong, but I can't seem to get my computer to download off my GD camera.

I get the sound signal, which usually means it has recognized the camera....but now it is saying it does NOT recognize the camera.  I know I've lost it, because I'm yelling at my computer "LIAR LIAR....IF YOU DIDN'T RECOGNIZE IT, THEN YOU WOULDN'T HAVE GIVEN ANY SIGNAL....SO I KNOW YOU KNOW IT'S THERE"

Has anyone seen this brilliant Washington Lottery commercial ?

OMG....it is the cutest ad ever.  Unfortunately, it seems to be removed from every website.

  I want a copy, I want a copy, I want a copy.

I'm curious to know, if anyone takes the little shampoos or lotions from their hotel room.....and who thinks it is stealing.
#107
Does anybody else find that it takes 4 times as long to shower with these things ?  Jeeeebus.  They were in every hotel we stayed in.  You have to run around to get wet and it takes forever to rinse the shampoo....and then conditioner out.  Are they really saving water ????

Discover Seattle! / Moving ?
Sep 01 08 10:46
Interesting bit of information for those who hire a moving company to move their stuff.

Our neighbours have been shopping for a moving company, and came up with a one who is charging 60 cents a pound.  With little thought, I said...."Oh...that sounds good"

Sawdust just walked into the room with a can of corn, a package of pasta, a jar of peanut butter and a bag of cat food.  Apparently, it will cost 50 cents for the corn....$1.20 for the pasta....$2.70 for the jar of peanut butter and $5.00 for a bag of cat food.

I guess that granite top bar they have will require a second mortgage.

Does anyone use Corel ?

I've used it for years and years.  Started out with Corel 4.....up-graded to 7 and up-graded again to Corel 12.  4 I never used until I took the course at Malaspina and went right to 7 (which was current at the time).  It's an awesome program.

Now I have 12......and it is THE crappiest program EVER.  I thought an up-grade implied an improvement.  It crashes my system constantly, which always brings up a window requesting you run the Application Recovery Manager Wizard....which is pointless as it has yet to be successful.  Today I actually took the time to fill out the 'report problem' thing....which I did in detail......and it brought up another window telling me they couldn't send the report to Corel.  Soooooo.....what was the point in the request, if the problem has already crashed the system.  Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

OK.....so this was mostly a rant......but I would like to know if anyone else has this issue, because I'm starting to believe I got a buggy program.

Anyone has been here ?

I stumbled across in while surfing, and it looks fabulous.  I really liked all the little goodies for bento boxes.  I have a fabulous old vintage bento box that is one of my favourite things, but I have never seen so many accessories for them.

I'd like to have a look on our way through town.

Also, can someone refresh my memory as to where the Canada Cost Club was located ?

Discover Seattle! / This is News ?
Aug 22 08 05:58
I just watched a report on the news, that they are thinking of taking a look into the serious affects of codeine on infants who are injesting it through mothers milk.

I don't know what happened between the time that I had my children, and now.....but we all knew 'back then' that it was just something you didn't take when you were nursing (or pregnant).....nor would doctors prescribe it.  What happened, and when did it happen, that it became ok to do this ?

Every week there's a new issue on the news, regarding yet another thing, that used to be governed by common sense.   While at the same time people complain about the government being too involved in our business.

What our kids should or shouldn't eat....whether they should or shouldn't participate in gymn....should students be allowed to buy a soft drink at school......whether we should have one slice of cheese on a burger or two....(lol)

Is this because we have completely abandoned (or never developed) any use of common sense ?  Have we become so wrapped up in other things, that we neglect the basics in teaching our kids to develop their own common sense?

What's going on with us ?

Discover Seattle! / Lost and Found

I posted on this subject a year or so ago when I discovered about 30 of my CD's of data were blank.  NOW, I have just discovered that all of my 2006 photos (plus a few other photo files) are gone off my hard drive.

Can anyone tell me how far back those programs that retrieve lost files goes ???
