LOL
And some lanes are so dangerously narrow..... example would be Patullo Bridge.
Parking lot at Richmond Mall (where the large Daiso is at), has terrible parking layout. There isn't a lot of space to back out your car and the space is so narrow and there are too many columns.
Doesn't TO/ON also have wider highways and more lanes?
I always parked in the compact spot with the Bonneville. lol
I h8 parking.
ADD: If it wasn't for parking, I'd be a much better driver :)
I only past my driver's licence test because I aced parallel parking. he he
Has anyone ever put one of these on your car Lil Me. (You can purchase these bumper stickers.)

Not...yet.
Yes, agreed! Too big, too loud and built too cheap. Talking about stupid parking spots - worst ever would have to be Crystal Mall parking. Ugh!
Crystal Mall has parking? Where exactly? Or is it that little parking lot next to Metrotown?
It's a Chinese mall beside Metrotown. I never parked there unless I have to. Better to just park across at Save-On Foods and walk over. The parking at Crystal Mall requires you to actually bend your car into S-shapes in order to turn corners. (http://discoverseattle.net/forums/richedit/smileys/Sad/11.gif)
I know about the mall (had my first bubble tea experience there), I just don't remember seeing a parking lot. lol
I liked Crystal Mall over Metrotown.
Yeah, Metro town is stupid busy. Why would I shop at a place that just makes me angry and hate the world?!
I spend more time looking for a parking spot than actual shopping.
Malls are evil! Ha!
Totally agree Van. Malls would be better if they didn't have a roof on them, in my opinion. At least I'd be able to breathe and it wouldn't be so noisy.
You bet!
I do most of my shopping at bike shops, snow shops, or MEC. MEC is the closest thing to a mall I can handle.
But I do trek into a mall about once a year to get dressier clothes for my meetings.
I like street side shopping, if I have to get something. It's more humanistic, malls are these unemotional windowless structures with miles of parking lots, that give off the feeling of a prison that is void of life and joy. They're the closest we'll ever get to recreating a black hole. haha

^ LOL
Hey, don't be dissing the malls!!! I love malls. Wonderful, exciting... you're like Indiana Jones going on a hunt for the lost city of pearls or clothes. I enjoy window shopping when there's not many folks around.
I know a secret parking spot at Metrotown that's quiet and close to the entrance. I'd tell you, Van but then I'd have to kill ya.
haha! Yes, well, I don't like most of the clothes in the malls anyways. I can find way better quality shirts at a friend's bike shop. Malls are work.
It is something I have to do once a year, like a chore. I guess I really don't have to, but there is a men's clothing store that I have been loyal to.
To be honest, I would rather go to the dentist and get my teeth scraped.

I agree. I don't mind the quiet malls like Lougheed Mall. I go there to get my ring cleaned and visit H&M cuz that location is super quiet. I prefer going to that mall after 7 when it's quiet...but hanging out at malls isn't my thing anymore. I go in, get what I need, and out I go.
Metrotown! Oh my what a freaking nightmare. I HATE going there...avoid it at all costs.
Oh, don't even tell me about that Stupidstore and T&T...
When I didn't have a car, I would go in there right after work to pick up a few grocery items...what a nightmare. Hated going in there. I am so thankful that I got a car and can do my own shopping at another Stupidstore location.
I like the Stupidstore on Lougheed Hwy across from Ikea and the Delta location on Scott Road.
I think so. It's not that great for grocery, but not that bad. Prices are reasonable. If you want grocery, Langley Farm Market is by your place and Kin's is good.
Safeway, imo, is most expensive.
Agreed, Michel. I find Save On Foods/Price Smart to be better than Safeway, but Stupidstore is way cheaper than all those stores and Stupidstore has a wide variety of many things in all depts. For example, in Stupidstore, I like their Joe brand clothing and their sales. SaveOns/Safeway doesn't have this clothing selection.[/DIV]
Do you use that barometer for restaurants? Full of people = good food?
I do.
I have no patience and no memory to compare prices on a permanent basis.
lol. There's a cure for that.

They still make those paper notebooks?
wow that's so retro.
Doesn't everybody use their blackberry for that now?
lol
LOL....I do the same thing Michel. I think I'm so clever to write lists or memos.....but I almost always forget them when I go out the door.
I hope you put a paper weight on your piles of paper or they'll just blow away.
I store everything in my head.
My cat thinks little pieces of paper are his own personal cat toys.

LOL Too cute P.C. :)

ahah walking in the aisle, trying to remember like in a movie what I wrote on that little piece of paper. Wondering if that piece of paper has been left on the couch, lost, forgottn on the bed when I changed pants or on the coffee table, while passing in front of the items I need, too focussed on thta peice of paer to pay attention to those. And at the end, realizing I forgot lots of thing and finding the piece of paper in my other pocket where I never put anything, being scare that I would forget about it.... Yeah that's my exciting typical weekend life... lol

That sounds like when I try to find my wallet, cell phone or keys.

hahaha. No my best moments are when I'm looking for my wallet and I search for 10 minutes ransacking a room or something, when it's in my pocket or right next to the computer. lol
When I take the car out of the garage and drive down the street, I panic thinking I didn't close the garage door, when I did. It's second nature to the point where I don't think about it, so 2 minutes later I go "did I close the garage door?"
Ya need more fish oil/omega.

I KNEW IT! SD is really an old foggie. That explains a lot!
Are you sure you want to reconnect with your long lost daddy, Michel?
I've been joking about being old since I was 8 or so. lol
are you sure you weren't joking about it when you were 2 months old?
good question.
I use humour to deflect everything, I started having knee problems around 8, so that's when I started doing the "i'm old" jokes.
lol my knees sound like that literally. creeps people out.
This thread is five pages of drivel. WTF do any of the posts past page one have anything to do with the topic?
Now for something completely, different, back to the topic:
My car is a small Euro sports car. It looks tiny in parking lots, parked next to all the big yank cars, Jap mini-vans. What do people need such oversized vehicles for? If all you do is drive to work, mostly, might as well get a Smart car. Just watch out for big cars at intersections!
