Yes, I know that, but I don't think they're saying that they're outright counterfits, just that it (supposedly) contravenes US law to get them from Canada. These strips are apparently completely bogus, not generic, not just low cost, but actual fakes.

Ok, I didnt read enough I guess to get that they were complete fakes.. Sorry, that was the point I was trying to make because they are so prohibitively expensive. I dont agree with paying ripoff fees to companies just for their copyrights.

Well, to be honest I was laughing about the total turnabout off topic of this thread until I remembered lots of the other threads where they all rapidly changed so I dont feel so bad, lol.

Sex, well, um, I have no complaints so.. ah. Yeah.

I cant believe it, you made me speechless. Thats not easy. lol.

It was in the Sun yesterday or the day before. They were saying that the US came up with this idea in the 70's, and it was designed and a shipyard to make them was built. But after the oil prices crashed in the early-mid 70's this idea was scrapped.

The biggest consternation from this according to the article in the sun was all the greenie groups and the US EPA. As they were saying that Russian nuke power isnt as reliable or has as good of a track record as the rest of the world, and they wanted an independant source to supervise the construction. The only drawback seems to be that the two companies already have the go-ahead from the Russian government, and they will have one ready and in place around 2010. with teh 2nd and possibly a third soon afterwards.

Me? Honestly.. I think its a good idea. In theory it seems good. As to the contingencies built into the vessel will be the deciding factor.

Umm, you do know the american government says the same thing about medicines made in canada right? That they are not as good as the ones in the states and could not work the way they are supposed to right? so you should pay four times the amount to get the ones made in the states and not off online pharmacies from canada......

As sad as this sounds I dont watch much TV. Some news, discovery, a and e.. thats about it.

So I dont really know much about the game shows you are talking about, to be serious, the only one I have heard of is deal or no deal.. that one has briefcases right?

Well, Lise hit the nail on the head. thats a pretty good description. I was in China helping supervise ships being built, and now I am sailing on some of them back off the West African coast.. I work offshore Angola.

You are going to laugh Lise, but you influenced me.. I went to Richmond Sushi last night with my g/f.

Thats incredible PC. Do you have a link handy for one of these online places? With the outlines does it tell you how deep you have to carve?

Sorry to hear about the loss of your family history. I too have heard about cd's being bad for storing data longterm, especially pictures. I would suggest if you havent already done so get a portable hardrive. I got two of those now and use one for pictures and one for information/ important document scans.

Where are you taking the disc's to get this done? Im curious for I have heard about this but know nothing about it.

Uh, purelife. lol, what do you mean by iron ring on my finger? and oh great another vancouverite?

Earlier, you mentioned that you were upgrading your Engineering courses.  And I found out that Engineers wear this little iron ring on their pinky finger to distinguish that they are Engineers.

What I meant from another Vancouverite was that I'm from Vancouver as well and I just post on this Seattle forum because I don't like DV as much as I used to.  It's just funny to see more and more Vancouverites are on here, that's all.

I thought thats what you meant by that.. Im actually a marine engineer, and I got my training through PMTC, a branch of bcit, so no ringy thing for me :( . I thought you were being sarcastic about me being from Vancouver.. Id thought I was in the middle of an old joke, id asked that kinda impishly. I agree, when I stopped posting/browsing on DV I went more to the offroading websites. I actually was googling discover vancouver to see touristy type things as out of country friends were coming to visit and discover seattle came up.. clicked on it cause Im one of those curious types and saw many names from DV. Thats why im here now.

Always a lineup, expect to have to wait 10 minutes at least for a table. All you can eat is awesome there, after 8 its cheaper. They started that to use up all the unused food from during the day.. but now they sell more at night then the day.

Sorry.. I wrote this a few hours ago from when im posting this, I got called away to help my brother load a neighbors tree stump into my truck? How it was my truck and how i was involved with his deal with the neighbor i have no idea. But heres some info if you didnt know, the transfer station along kent street below marine drive in south van is free dumping until the end of tomorrow. So along with the stump im filling up my truck with junk.

LOL, I dont know about driving. On one hand you can say bad drivers, on the other hand look at china, it was mayhem but theres only been cars available for a few years now and everyone seems to have one. Everyones not used to it, give it a generation and I am sure there will be no problem. In my opinion thats part of the problem with richmond, and everyone seems to blame asians for bad driving cause thats the visible majority. Theres some bad drivers everywhere in every race. That being said I avoid richmond at all costs (along with downtown mind you), but I do love Richmond Sushi...

Uh, purelife. lol, what do you mean by iron ring on my finger? and oh great another vancouverite?

  Anyhow, back to the schoolwork.

What do you mean by repurpose something? Make it useful for something else?

Dunno what I could say for talents for me.

I like working with my hands and thinking around a problem. When I solve something with my work, I get a feeling of accomplishment.

Im easy to get along with, and I am constantly surrounded by friends.

  I hate studying though.
