That sounds like hot summer work sports!

Friday mornings are the best! Off to the airport in a few hours. Have to fly through TO first.

Looks like I missed tenk yesterday...

I will leave a hug here for him...*HUG*, and someone can tell him to come back to this page and pick it up!

It is slow here these days. I hope everyone is enjoying the summer and not working too hard.

or maybe everyone is on facebook these days?? lol! Hopefully it is the summer enjoyment thing instead.

Haha! My first time in South Florida, I seen a T-shirt that said "Welcome to Florida" with a big gun on it. Some are saying it is the Detroit of the south. But, like all places, depends on the hood you are in.

Last time I was there, I seen a lot of beauty...and beauties!! Nice change of scenery...the palm trees I mean....

Or that family that was just about to move in! Looked like a kick ass house on the news too.

But yes, the environmental damage there makes me pissed!

That is the word I was looking for...Owed!

A lot of unionized workers are just looking for what is "owed" to them, and end up worrying about it more that actually working their jobs.

Unionized workers think the cost of living is expensive in Vancouver? Join the club.

Sure! I will have my laptop!

First time there in mid summer, although the weather forcast doesn't look much different than the spring...31 degrees, showers every afternoon, and lightning. day in, day out. Looks like the first few days will be indoors, mostly meetings, bleh! Hopefully get to South Beach by next weekend. I even bought some new clothes and I am ready to party party PARTY!! Woooohoo!

My Miami counterpart there plans on showing me the time of my life as they are trying to convince me to move permanently.

I have to decide soon...my gut is turning now at night thinking about it!

Happy Thursday. One more sleep, then I am off to Ft. Lauderdale. Dammit! Looks like I will actually have to get work done while I am there. Boooo!!

That is so brutal though?

I am curious, how long has that pipe been there? I would bet the City had the oil line on their provided maps.

I seen this happen on a construction site in the Kootenays too, fortunately, it was a water line and not oil.

lunch was fantastic today. Steak sandwhich from a cool pub. couple of ice teas. Sat at a patio. The air is so fresh here today. straight from the west, Rocky Mountain air! Not too hot!

Would rather be in Port Alberni though!

I'm never going to win this argument with you guys but because of unions corporations are like the way they are today.
It is not really a win/lose argument is it? It is just our own opinions. Its all good sports!

Do you really think all the American public is brainwashed? I met so many intellectual people in the USA. About the same as here I guess?

I hope you don't think Canadians are brainwashed any less than our American cousins?

the Americans lead, Canada will follow.

I don't think our company treats their employees good, "because of unions". I am pretty sure it is because we need good employees, and will do what we can to keep people happy so they don't go across the street for something better.

I am not sure what benefit you would be talking about after you quit, or get laid off from a union job after employment is finished? CPP is for all employees. Aside from that, where I work offers a seperate pension, and/or RRSP matchings. Our rates go above unionized places too.

Not too many topics get me going, but union talk gets my blood boiling. ha!
