A recent Zogby poll documents ground breaking information on the attitudes of American voters toward electronic voting. They are quite clear in the belief that the outcome of an entire election can be changed due to flaws in computerized voting machines. At a stunning rate of 92%, Americans insist on the right to watch their votes being counted. And, at an overwhelming 80%, they strongly object to the use of secret computer software to tabulate votes without citizen access to that software.

At the end of May, someone at Discover Vancouver posted hate messages in my name.  It wasn't me.  It saddens me that someone would be on the receiving end of a racist attack by a malicious coward posting in my name. Again, I know it is easy to delete that crap, whatever statements are made to the contrary .  Not sure what malicious intentions are behind keeping it there. I can't post at Discover Vancouver, since my IP was blocked long ago. For the record, nothing posted in my name since it was blocked, was me.  I will enquire with lawyers on how to correct this situation.

[DIV class=document]DNC Voting Rights Institute on CA-50 Special Election

[P class=document]

[P class=document]For several weeks since the June 6th Special Election in California’s 50th Congressional District there have been reports of election irregularities. The DNC Voting Rights Institute (“VRI”) has been monitoring the developments since Election Day and has raised a number of concerns regarding new and disturbing information.

[P class=document]First and foremost is the fact that any election where there are allegations of machine tampering, break downs in chain of custody, security breaches and other such irregularities must be taken seriously. There are several facts in this race that raise very deep concerns.

 [P class=document]On the facts:

[P class=document]1. We know for a fact that San Diego County election officials have admitted that a number of the voting machines were taken home in violation of the federal security regulations and guidelines and that a number of the machines showed evidence of tampering (broken seals, which should also have immediately disqualified those machines from use according to state laws implemented in just the last several months in response to new severe vulnerabilities discovered Diebold's optical-scan and touch-screen voting systems.)

[P class=document]2. We know that under state and federal guidelines, any such breach of security seals or the new "secure storage" requirements for these machines and their memory cards should have immediately disqualified those machines from use in the election for the reason that they became effectively decertified for use upon such security and chain of custody violations.

[P class=document]3. We also know that both the Diebold optical-scan and touch-screen (DRE) machines have been proven to be vulnerable to tampering in test after test by industry experts, including a team of computer scientists and security experts convened by California's Secretary of State in response to recent revelations concerning the hack ability of Diebold voting systems.

[P class=document]4. We know that serious security issues and efforts by Diebold to obfuscate problems with their hardware and software led California’s former Democratic Secretary of State to decertify Diebold touch-screen systems in 2004, only to have the Republican Secretary who succeeded him reinstitute the machines over the objections of scores of computer scientists and experts
and hundreds of election integrity advocates.

[P class=document]The San Diego County election official responsible for administrating post-election manual vote counts has given three different arbitrary cost estimates for conducting the hand count. The quoted fees are as much as six times the costs estimates for similar hand counts in surrounding counties. The estimates portray the expense of a manual vote count to be cost prohibitive.

[P class=document]This is no longer about whether or not Busby or Bilbray won the election on June 6th. This is about the importance of verifying the facts related to election and voting machine irregularities in this race and the need to ensure an accurate count of all votes cast in this election so that the electorate may have confidence in the announced results in future elections.

[P class=document]The VRI will continue to monitor facts as they become available and will call for a swift and verifiable "manual count" of all 150,000 ballots cast in California’s 50th District’s "bellwether" June 6th special election in order to ensure the integrity of November 7th general elections and the overall integrity of our country’s voting systems in this still-untested age of computerized voting.

[P class=document]Greg Moore is director of the DNC's Voting Rights Institute.

Florida attorney Mike Papantonio who, along with Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. hosts [A href="http://www.ringoffireradio.com/"]Ring of Fire[/A], weekends on [A href="http://www.airamericaradio.com/"]Air America Radio[/A], was a guest on Mike Malloy's radio program last night. [Complete audio is available at bottom of this article.] He discussed the upcoming whistleblower suits that he and Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. are filing against several of the voting machine companies. Pap was loaded for bear.

During the interview, he gave several new details on the federal fraud suits now being filed, which include several whistleblower plaintiffs whose stories were originally reported here at [A href="http://www.bradblog.com/"]The BRAD BLOG[/A], as mentioned last week in a [A href="http://www.bradblog.com/?p=3023"]quick item here[/A], with some fresh details of our own. Pap reported last night that the "dream team of lawyers" they've assembled to take on these evil, irresponsible, anti-American companies includes a bunch of those who took on the tobacco companies in a successful quarter billion dollar suit — so they're not likely easily intimidated, we'd think.

Papantonio is a senior partner at Levin Papantonio Thomas Mitchell Echsner & Proctor, P.A., a Pensacola lawfirm. ([A href="http://www.levinlaw.com/"]website here[/A]) RFK Jr. is also "of counsel" for this firm.

Speaking of the level of fraud to be revealed by the suits, which must be sealed by law for 60 days as the Attorney General decides if they will join the complaint, Papantonio told Malloy: "When you hear the details, when you hear the caliber of the fraud... you... it'll make Americans feel like they're living in a damned banana republic, a third world country. I have never heard such outrageous facts."

"And you know what?" he continued, "We've had our investigators look at it. We verified everything. And when you hear it, you're gonna say, 'Not in America.' ...Bad news is: Yeah, it is in America."

The fraud suits, Papantonio said, are "a way to get at their money, and that's the only thing these people understand."

"At the end of the day, we're gonna shut down some of these companies," Papantonio said. "Some day these hacks are gonna be across the table from me, and they're gonna have to answer the questions that nobody else has been able to ask them."

Pap excoriated the DNC, "the indolent Democrats and the lazy media," for not participating in any of this, and decried the fact that he and RFK Jr. were essentially forced to take action on their own, given the Dems' failure to do anything.

He also spoke of the voting machine "sleepovers" about which we've been reporting here in detail of late. As well, he had several kind words for this website and several other election integrity groups. "Unless you had these organizations out there like Black Box Voting or BRAD BLOG, people like that, paying attention to this, this wouldn't even be on the radar screen," he said.

 MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS/PORK
A Canadian study reveals a significant relationship between multiple sclerosis and fat and meat (particularly pork) intake. The researchers point out that multiple sclerosis is rare in countries whose religious customs forbid the use of pork. (Medical Hypothesis 20:283-285, 1986)

Last night my neighbours were playing really loud volka, around 2:00 am.  It was driving me nuts, so I dragged myself out of bed, pulled on some clothes, and found my way to their apartment.  I knocked on the door and a purple-haired older woman opened the door. She laughed excitedly, said something in Volvolish, and pulled me in.

Young men were performing what I'd guess was traditional Volvolish break-dancing. Attractive young women were standing in a circle around them, clapping and singing in Volvolish. The purple-haired older woman loudly made an announcement, and everybody stopped and looked at me, waiting expectantly.  A fat guy with an accordion started playing a most nasty-sounding Volka number and the older women pushed me, as if to prod me to dance.  They all cheered, so what the heck-a-doodle, I did some moves I learned in Western Guilao.  A gorgeous young woman joined me, shaking her booty.

Suddenly, a tall anvil-jawed man shouted angrily and grabbed me by the shoulders, then shoved me, shouting in Volvolish. I said, "What the hell?" He looked at me, baffled, and said, "What, you no speak Volvolish! What you doing at Vovolish wedding dance, you mudder-bucker. Don't get sex to my fiance!"   I replied, "Look, I just came to ask you to turn down the volume to your nasty ethnic music." This just infuriated him. Just then, there was a loud banging on the door. The older woman opened it, and two cops greeted her.  I took this opportunity to leave, taking a second to thank the police officers.

I read this story, and I really felt bad, learning about the woman who shot her husband, the preacher.  How could she do something like that?

  [A href="http://www.cnn.com/2006/LAW/06/30/winkler.bond.hearing/index.html"]http://www.cnn.com/2006/LAW/06/30/winkler.bond.hearing/index.html[/A]

I mean, why did she disconnect the phone line?  She should have just left the darn phone alone after she shot him.

A study funded by the US government has concluded that conservatism can be explained psychologically as a set of neuroses rooted in "fear and aggression, dogmatism and the intolerance of ambiguity".   As if that was not enough to get Republican blood boiling, the report's four authors linked Hitler, Mussolini, Ronald Reagan and the rightwing talkshow host, Rush Limbaugh, arguing they all suffered from the same affliction.   All of them "preached a return to an idealised past and condoned inequality".   Republicans are demanding to know why the psychologists behind the report, Political Conservatism as Motivated Social Cognition, received $1.2m in public funds for their research from the National Science Foundation and the National Institutes of Health.  The authors also peer into the psyche of President George Bush, who turns out to be a textbook case. The telltale signs are his preference for moral certainty and frequently expressed dislike of nuance.

It has only a tiny bit more to do with San Diego. And only slightly more than that to do with California.

It has everything, however, to do with democracy. Across the entire country. As opposed to any one race in any one area.

If I've not been clear on that until now, please allow me to set the record straight.

The concerns I've reported — and will continue to report — over the blatant disregard for the rule of law and clear illegalities endorsed and encouraged by the SD County Registrar of Voters, Mikel Haas and allowed and apparently-approved at this point by California's Secretary of State Bruce McPherson have everything to do with the future viability of democracy in this country in general and a perhaps-naive hope that there's a chance in hell that acting now will help to salvage a shred of legitimacy for this coming November's election.

That can only happen if action is taken now, however, directly in regard to the Busby/Bilbray election results as announced.

As far as I can see it, what happens in regard to Busby/Bilbray will be America's last, best, and only hope of affecting any real election reform prior to the November 7th general election. That's why, for me, this has become "Line in the Sand Time."

Since that time, I've stated in both written and spoken words, many times that I don't actually give a damn who won the Busby/Bilbray race and that I didn't even much bother to follow any of it prior to Election Day. I've got no dog in the hunt and only care that the person who actually received the most votes is the one that was declared the winner. At this point, there is absolutely no way of knowing who actually won.

The fact of the matter is that just two or three months after both the federal certification oversight body (NASED) and California's own Secretary of State issued emergency "security mitigation requirements" in light of newly discovered and massive vulnerabilities in Diebold's voting systems, those security requirements were entirely tossed out the window when all of the machines were [A href="http://www.bradblog.com/?p=2932"]sent home with poll workers[/A] for overnights in the days and weeks prior to the election. In doing so, the machines themselves were effectively [A href="http://www.bradblog.com/?p=2954"]rendered illegal and uncertified for use[/A] in any California election and at the federal level as well.

Unless something is done, the same thing is about to happen in elections across this entire country.

(NOTE: Lou Dobbs will be covering this issue on CNN tonight I am told. Including interviews with some of the poll worker sources we gave them after originally reported on them here at [A href="http://www.bradblog.com/"]BRAD BLOG[/A].)

I'd have hoped that more media, candidates, individuals and even Election Reform organizations would have come to understand the national significance of what all the sturm and drang here has actually been about. If they haven't, that's likely my failing. So I'll try again to make both myself and the stakes here crystal clear...

What happens here and now — in regard to this race and its results as announced — will send a signal to elections administrators across the country. The signal will be one of two...

 [A id=more-3002][/A]

Either the rule of law must be followed in the administration of elections because the citizens of this country demand accountability and verifiability in our elections as democracy itself depends on confidence in the results of these elections.

Or the message will be that elections officials, spending billions and billions of our own tax dollars, are welcome to ignore all such laws and emergency security provisions in the wake of the first time use of the [A href="http://www.bradblog.com/?p=2926"]world's most tamperable voting machines[/A], tell us on Election Night whatever (unverified and unverifiable) numbers they wish to and Americans will subsequently roll over and say "Great. Good enough for us. We'll believe anything you tell us. Even if you haven't and couldn't prove your results are accurate to save your life."

I received an email the other day from a congressional office complaining that I hadn't given any coverage to a so-far successful effort by Republicans to [A href="http://www.accessmontgomery.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060621/NEWS02/60621008"]indefinitely postpone a vote[/A] on the renewal of the Voting Rights Act of 1965.

"Busby is one race, one region," the staffer wrote, "this affects the ability to seek justice nationwide."

I replied that, of course, in normal times [A href="http://www.bradblog.com/"]The BRAD BLOG[/A] would have covered the cynical, shameful, and anti-democratic story of Republicans scuttling the renewal of the beloved and necessary Voting Rights Act with much prominence. Perhaps even with a siren! We have covered issues surrounding the Voting Rights Act [A href="http://tinyurl.com/m66ey"]many times here[/A]. And, of course, we will continue to do so.

These are not normal times, however. And, as I pointed out in my reply — and to several others recently along the same lines — even if we could ensure tomorrow that every single American who wanted to vote legally was allowed to do so without problem or disenfranchisement, we still won't have legitimate elections without seeing to the problem of the security of the machines which use secret software, written by private companies to count our vote without any sort of accountability or transparency.

This apparently, is a lesson that the DNC and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) and virtually all Democratic lawmakers have apparently yet to learn.

I've heard recently that the DNC will soon be announcing an initiative for "Election Protection" for this November's election. The initiative will include attorneys, poll-watching and a paltry $500k to pay for it all. Not one word, as far as I've heard (and I'd be delighted to hear otherwise from anyone at the DNC) about what the hell will be done to ensure integrity of the voting machines which will proliferate the electoral landscape for the very first time this year given that this is the year the disastrous Help America Vote Act (HAVA) mandates kick into full gear.

If the DNC, and any of the other organizations and/or candidates give a damn about Electoral Integrity the time to act is now. Busby/Bilbray is the only federal election in the country at the moment, and it's the first one to have occurred since the discovery of the massive vulnerabilities in this new crop of electronic voting machines (Diebold in proven particular, but all of them in theory). As mentioned, those newly discovered vulnerabilities have sent both states and the federal oversight bodies scrambling to produce emergency "security mitigation requirements" for the approved use of such machines.

But what good are such rules and laws if they are not followed?

In San Diego County, in the Busby/Bilbray (CA-50) race, those emergency requirements were all but ignored when San Diego County's registrar Mikel Haas sent them machines home for overnights with poll workers for days and week prior to the election. California's Secretary of State, Bruce McPherson, who convened a special commission of independent computer scientists and security experts to assess the problems once they came to undisputed light last December, has blithely ignored the fact that his own so-called "[A href="http://www.ss.ca.gov/elections/voting_systems/diebold_cert.pdf"]conditional certification[/A]" for the machines, based on his own "[A href="http://www.ss.ca.gov/executive/press_releases/2006/06_021.pdf"]security procedures[/A]" were clearly violated.

The machines used in San Diego county on election day were uncertified then by both state and federal standards. They are as presumed-contaminated as a blood sample would be if taken at a crime scene and then sent home for storage in a worker's car or garage for a week before being brought into the crime lab. Just as the voting machines were.

The announced results of the election, therefore, as based on totals reported from presumed-tainted optical scan systems — on the same day that [A href="http://votetrustusa.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1378&Itemid=51"]two different races in Iowa were overturned after a manual hand-count[/A] of ballots revealed that the announced post-op-scan loser had actually won the race instead! — will always be suspect until they are verified via a 100% manual hand count of the paper ballots used in the race. (And with the hope that the chain of custody for the ballots themselves has been secure this whole time. Not an easy presumption to make given Haas' own appalling lack of security and/or ability to follow the rule of law in administrating the election up until now.)

It is for these reasons, not that any of us actually care in particular about the Busby/Bilbray races that so many election protection organizations, candidates and individuals have now [A href="http://www.bradblog.com/?p=2992"]declared "NO CONFIDENCE"[/A] in the reported results and are demanding a manual hand-count of the ballots.

By applying enough public pressure on officials, so that a judge might order a manual hand-count of the ballots (a COUNT, not a REcount as paid for by citizens or the candidate, since we already paid them once to count the ballots, and they failed to do so!) a signal might be sent to elections officials across the country that these things, such as following the rule of law, actually matter.

On the other hand, if absolutely nothing is done now, I assure you that by November — when some 435 U.S. House races and 30-something U.S. Senate races occur on the very same day — we will have an unmitigated disaster on our hands for which it will be largely too late to do anything.

Need more indication that action needs to be taken now before elections are held in thousands of counties across the country on the same day? See what's [A href="http://www.bradblog.com/?p=2996"]now being reporting[/A] as having occurred in Riverside County, CA on Election Day!

No security. No accountability. And, most tragically of all in the bargain, no democracy.

It's time to act now. I will do so. To the best of my ability. If the media and the various political parties and the host of candidates who will be directly affected by this don't wish to do so, that's up to them.

I'll be doing so either way. Because it's not about them or their victory or their loss in any election. It's about our democracy. And, apparently, it's up to us to try and preserve it.

Even if many of those folks don't understand it. Or worse, even if they do understand it, but don't think it's worth bothering.

I suggest that nothing in this election year, no single issue, is of great import to our country. That's what I've been going to the extraordinary measures that I have. I hope you'll [A href="http://www.bradblog.com/?p=2999"]join me[/A].

I do 250 lbs leg presses, and I can barely manage three sets of 30 reps.  I need some holy energy:

Sir Jagadish Chander Bose had the rare ability to combine the ancient mystical traditions of India with the rigid scientific methods of the West.  He blazed trails to many brilliant areas of science.  Three cheers for Sir Jagadish Chander Bose!!!

1. Put on really spiffy business clothes.  Be sure to shine your shoes.

2. Stand on a busy street corner, holding a briefcase.

3. Repeatedly shout, "SNITCHET!"

4. Confront people staring at you, and ask, "Haven't you ever seen a cicada before!?"

Yesterday I spent maybe $6.00 on old books from a guy selling them on the street.  I soon learned that they're first edition books, including a John Steinbeck novel!  I looked up their value on the internet, and it amounted to around US$900.

Recently, I've seen lots of fights breaking out in Vancouver.  More than usual.  This week alone, I saw two young women fight outside a car.  One of them fell onto the street, then was picked off the street and guided into the car, and they drove away.  I've also couple of fights between blokes over who-knows-what (simian minds are complex) outside a nightclub.  And just today two young guys shouted at each other and started pummeling at each other in the middle of the street.   I suspect that clusters of events like these have something to do the climate.  They are probably people prone to such kinds of behavior, and therefore more likely to be triggered by external factors such weather changes.  Not sure.

Why is it that no matter how much I sleep, or how much crap I take from others, or if I've had a little too much beer, I still have no desire whatsoever to attack someone??? None whatsoever.  Must be a certain principle that I picked up in the journey of my life (ironically, from a martial arts champion):  The degree to which one reacts to something is the value that one gives it.  If you don't bend down to pick up crap floating down the stream, why would you react to the garbage spewing from someone's mouth?

Titusville, FL (PRWEB) June 7, 2006 -- With the November midterm elections fast approaching, and primary races already melting down in nearly every state around the country, the release of an explosive article exposing the flaws and dirty politics in the 2004 election wins high praise from election fraud whistleblower Clint Curtis, Candidate for U.S. Congress (FL-24th district).

"Rolling Stone and author Robert Kennedy, Jr., should be given medals for bringing the '04 election manipulations to a wider audience. Americans really aren't yet aware just how vulnerable and insecure our elections are, or how easy it is to flip the results of a national election and change the course of the country. This is a very, very serious situation, with grave consequences for our democratic process," said Curtis.

Published in the June 15th issue of Rolling Stone, the article offers an in-depth and long over-due examination of the persistent questions surrounding the 2004 presidential election. Moreover, Curtis joins Kennedy in his sidebar article calling for a full federal investigation into electronic voting machines, the vendors who produce the hackable machines, and those congress members responsible for enabling the Help America Vote Act (HAVA) which is making all of our elections more un-secure than ever.

"It is time to insist on verifiable and properly conducted elections in America" Curtis says. "Mr. Kennedy estimates that 350,000 voters were disenfranchised in Ohio alone – and that's only the tip of the iceberg; thousands of election 'irregularities' went uninvestigated by both congress and the media in 2004. No voter should be forced to use proven-hackable and insecure voting machines, nor wait ten hours in the rain to exercise their right to vote. Public elections should never be sold off to private corporations, run on secret software, nor overseen by wildly partisan officials." He adds, "Unfortunately, the voters in Florida know all of this as well as anyone."

Take Your Democracy Back!

[DIV class=lrec]I don't know how else to put it, but every voting machine used in last week's special election run-off for the U.S. House seat vacated by the disgraced Randy "Duke" Cunningham in California's 50th congressional district was illegal. By federal standards, rules and provisions and by California state rules, laws and provisions. And now, by the San Diego County Registrar of Voters own admission.

TO REVIEW: The election was run on [A href="http://us.rd.yahoo.com/dailynews/huffpost/cm_huffpost/storytext/023197/19382684/SIG=11fcs1umb/*http://www.bradblog.com/archives/00002924.htm"]highly hackable[/A] Diebold voting machines that were [A href="http://us.rd.yahoo.com/dailynews/huffpost/cm_huffpost/storytext/023197/19382684/SIG=111d4i3tp/*http://www.bradblog.com/?p=2930"]sent home overnight and unsecurely[/A] with poll workers for days prior to the election which rendered the machines both [A href="http://us.rd.yahoo.com/dailynews/huffpost/cm_huffpost/storytext/023197/19382684/SIG=1118k7s3p/*http://www.bradblog.com/?p=2954"]illegal and uncertified for use[/A] in the election under both federal and state laws, requirements and statutes. The GOP has since [A href="http://us.rd.yahoo.com/dailynews/huffpost/cm_huffpost/storytext/023197/19382684/SIG=1111872m0/*http://www.bradblog.com/?p=2956"]rushed to swear-in Bilbray before the votes were counted[/A], or the election even certified by the state of California.

See any of the links above for corroborated, sourced and detailed information.

And keep in mind that it's recently been revealed that Diebold voting machines can have their entire election software, operating system, and even computer firmware ("BIOS") overwritten in less than two minutes with no password necessary, should anybody gain unsupervised physical access to the
machines.

Note also that on the PBS News Hour last night, David Jefferson, Livermore Labs computer scientist, and a member of the CA Sec. of State's own team of independent analysts who looked at the recently discovered massive security flaws in Diebold's systems was quoted as saying:

particular vulnerability is serious enough that you can affect multiple machines from a single attack. That's what makes it so dangerous.  [BLOCKQUOTE][/BLOCKQUOTE]Given that every common-sense (and legal) security mitigation procedure was tossed out the window when these same Diebold voting machines were sent home with poll workers, given that the machines were therefore uncertified for use in the race, given that one tampered machine could affect every other machine used in the election, given that American democracy is based on confidence in our electoral system, and given that there is therefore, no way to know that the reported results of the race are the actual results of the race...a manual hand-count of all paper ballots and "paper trails" must be done immediately.

In case you hadn't heard, on the very same day as California's election last week, at least [A href="http://us.rd.yahoo.com/dailynews/huffpost/cm_huffpost/storytext/023197/19382684/SIG=12i3ueosv/*http://votetrustusa.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1378&Itemid=51"]two elections in Iowa[/A], in Republican Primaries, the reported results showed that the popular incumbents had lost their race after the ballots were optically scanned. Due to an election director who was clever enough to realize something was amiss, the ballots were then hand-counted,
revealing in both cases that the incumbents had actually won the election!

Only a manual hand-count had revealed it. In one case, the incumbent had come in tenth in the race until the hand-count revealed the true results of the contest.

As to the Busby/Bilbray election...So far, PDA has [A href="http://us.rd.yahoo.com/dailynews/huffpost/cm_huffpost/storytext/023197/19382684/SIG=11tga6c2n/*http://pdamerica.org/articles/campaigns/busby-handcount.php"]declared "No Confidence"[/A] in the race. Tribune Media columnist Robert Koehler has [A href="http://us.rd.yahoo.com/dailynews/huffpost/cm_huffpost/storytext/023197/19382684/SIG=11eapjmci/*http://commonwonders.com/archives/col350.htm"]declared "No Confidence"[/A] in the race. VelvetRevolution.us has [A href="http://us.rd.yahoo.com/dailynews/huffpost/cm_huffpost/storytext/023197/19382684/SIG=111ueu7eo/*http://www.velvetrevolution.us/#061006"]declared "No Confidence"[/A] in the race. And VoteTrustUSA has declared "[A href="http://us.rd.yahoo.com/dailynews/huffpost/cm_huffpost/storytext/023197/19382684/SIG=12m5qoima/*http://www.votetrustusa.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1385&Itemid=26"]egregious violations[/A]" took place in the race.

So who actually won the race? At this time, there is no way to know. Not until the ballots are counted.

In the meantime, if Americans roll over and allow our electoral system to be treated with such callous disregard for the law, specific security procedures and common-sense while there is just one national election of note in play -- the signal has been sent to do whatever the hell you want come this November when 435 U.S. House races and 20 something U.S. Senate races will be up for grabs.

Is that the message we should be sending to those entrusted with running our elections?

It's time for Americans to take their democracy back from the private companies who have usurped our election system. San Diegans, it's time for you to "go Ukraine" on that Registrar of Voters office! For the rest of America -- who paid for this election with $3.8 billion in federal tax dollars, even though it was carried out in defiance of the very law that allocated those funds -- please sign the VelvetRevolution.us [A href="http://us.rd.yahoo.com/dailynews/huffpost/cm_huffpost/storytext/023197/19382684/SIG=12868e0kf/*http://www.velvetrevolution.us/content/busby-bilbray/busby-bilbray.php"]petition[/A] demanding a 100% hand-count NOW!

 Then please spread the word.

It's your democracy. Use it or lose it.
