It's fairly easy to see that the topic titles in the list are each displayed in their own table cell, that's the way the software does it. The topic list is a table with columns and rows which make up for individual cells.
But why is it then that a few topics are grouped together in pairs in a single table cell ? To give an example, "Ooooops..." and "MIT Robot Detects Fake Scientific Papers" share one cell ; and "Shutdown the SOA" and "Post your best songs with meanings" share another one.
Why is this ?

I'm not seeing that, so either it's something browser specific or I'm misunderstanding what you're describing. None of the cells I see have more than one topic in them.

I was being facetious, TehBorken.
Of course it's not a feature ! No more than the upside down characters Opera sometimes displays in one line or the other. It's one of those quirks.

Go into your PM mailbox and click on "New Message". In that screen there is an icon like this: (http://discoverseattle.net/forums/Themes/default/images/icons/assist.gif) that you can use to search for any registered member.
go to your message box. Click on new messages. Then hit the find members link and type in the members name in the search box and it should pop up.
