That's my excuse too. Plus the fact that I'm not entirely sure what's a weed and what isn't.

A weed is any plant that grows where it's not wanted. :)

My whole yard is nothing but weeds, but if I removed them there wouldn't be anything left.

I'm not a yard- or lawn-care kind of guy.

I told my son that if he ever saw me out in the yard doing any weeding or lawn care, that he was to take me to the doctor and have me checked to see if I'd had a stroke. :)

Karma is a measure of how much people like or dislike a post. After you've made 10 posts, the karma 'cheer' and 'smite' links will appear below other registered user's names.  You can cheer or smite each user once per hour. The time limit is just there to prevent someone from smiting you over and over in a short period of time.

They're only in effect until 5 posts, I think.

Have I got to type these verifications every time I post? I can't read half of them!

My (unmarried) friend Jim, on the subject of marriage:

"When someone is murdered, the first suspect is always the spouse, and that tells you all you need to know about marriage."

I miss Tenkani, I loved his unpredictable, maverick posts.

Ya, he was a pistol, I miss him too. :(

We do like our coffee here, it's almost an obsession, as evidence by the DiscoverSeattle Coffee Finder (http://discoverseattle.net/locator/) (alas it only works in the US and is a tad *cough* outdated).

TehBorken, is that an anagram of 'the broken'?  :-\

Actually, lol, it is. It was a name bestowed on yer 'umble moderator a long, long time ago by a venerable member named tenkani (http://discoverseattle.net/forums/index.php?action=profile;u=2) who was pointing out a broken link.

tenkani (http://discoverseattle.net/forums/index.php?action=profile;u=2) moved to Texas (I think) and we never heard from him again. Probably because Texas is the one and only state in the entire US without any internet service. A lot of people don't know that, especially Texans.

I was always told that the sun was hot.

It is, that's why they wait until nighttime to take the pics.

A montage created from some of various ways of imaging the Sun. I thought it was cool. I'm tempted to enlarge this, print it, and hang it on the wall.
