I met my hubby a long time ago. He was in Vancouver, I was in Sydney. We made a long distance relationship work against the odds and..... get this, no MSN messenger. Back then, letters and phone calls were our only means of contact.

He ended up taking the same bus as me when we were heading to work. (we didn't work at the same place, just heading in the same direction).
He noticed me first in April 2003 and then our first date was in September 2003. Uhm, don't ask me which date that was. We celebrate our anniversary in Oct or whenever we have the weekend free. :)

I met Mr Lil Me through work initially. He was "guy in the elevator". Later he was "neighbour guy" and "keep bumping into guy"- though I was usually with my best male friend, who Mr LM thought was my bf. We finally went out in 1996.

I met my hubby at the local pub/walley ball court. We had crossed paths for a LONG time before anyone made a move.....both of us played baseball and wally ball.
His first romantic move was when he and a buddy sat at the bar giggling about closing the glass door to the pub (whcih had NEVER been closed) and watching me struggle to get in. I was on crutches and the two buffoons were pretty full of themselves. Ahhhh......romance.

my bf saw me where I worked....and that was it...he made himself known...day after day..until I finally agreed to meet up with him. We celebrate our aniversary on Jan 30th...cause we were so full of ourselves we couldn't remember which day it was exactly that things became official! LOL
That's funny pitbull. We are in the same boat. Neither of us can really remember exactly when it became 'official' as we'd spent so much time 'around' each other before we dated. (plus I was in denial......I had taken a solemn oath to never date again)

Lol to both of you. No SD....it didn't really work that way. I convinced myself for a long time that we were 'just having dinner together' 'just going here or there together'....I refused to call it a date.
ah my uncle is like that with his 'friend'. For the longest of times he refused to call her his girlfriend. (he's got the crazy daughters, my cousins to deal with). But now he's FINALLY 'officially' seeing each other. Took them years. They've seen each other for 6 years.
I never put myself in the denial stage with dating though. I kept up hopes that i would find that special someone even in this little city. LOL..swear to god still that the water is bad here and all men turn into a bodily orifice when they drink the water here

Almost a year. Um, does it matter that she remembers the first time we remet and the date for our first date? I can guess the month.
We knew each other in High School, all the way through and had a few classes together. But we were only friends through other friends. It was only just around the summer that she showed up around a group of friends that I still saw from high school and came on a camping trip. We clicked lol and met up for dinner and drinks.
