New thread, "My Secret Guilty Pleasure Is..."

My secret guilty pleasure is watching the Road Rally Crash compilations. They're mostly Finnish, but there are compilations from France, Germany, and other countries as well. The best part is that almost no one ever gets hurt no matter how spectacular the crash is, and you can hear the crowd clapping in appreciation at some of the "better" crashes.

I love the way the cars shed parts as they tumble, although it's sad to see such cool little cars getting turned into scrap in the blink of an eye. A lot of the time they just set the car back on its wheels and off they go, but sometimes they're toast.

If you lose a wheel, it's over (obviously). If the roof is crushed so far down that they can't see out the front, it's over.

But 50% of the time or more they turn the car over and it revs up and takes off, often leaving a trail of parts in its wake. Amazing.
