 Schmoozer says he likes Asian woman a lot and even posts pictures. No one gives him a hard time over it. Everyone talks about what type of women they like and posts pictures to go along with their own comments.
As for the other referrences, I can't comment about. Some threads I do stay out of because some posters tend to get carried away with their opinion and how they choose to voice it.

 I don't mind the sexy pictures within reason of course, as long as they are over 19 and still clothed sexy pictures are fine.

What I do have problems with, is the blatant racism/fascism and the ongoing homophobia that is allowed to continue through out the years. I also have a problem with the  DV admins and mods deleting everything that proves they support racism or that they are incompetent of the job they are in..

I am not sure which it is but I really am starting to think DV supports the racism that is allowed to proliferate within the site.

Yes and no. I think what you end up with is a decent place. DS has never been about trying to get loads of traffic, all people here want is a fun place where the community isn't littered with a**holes. If it turns out that that means a small number, personally I'm okay with that. Ah I see.  So discussions around contentious social, political and religious issues should be curbed and culled because they might contain some offensive material?  Let's not talk about race, religion, politics, etc because there will be a**holes with opinions we don't agree with.  I see.   I find hearing another side of a debate important in solidifying my stance on an issue and perfecting rebuttal.  It sounds like you guys have a problem with dissension if it doesn't agree with your own values.

  In terms of Orik being up and arms over a picture, I have to say it was a lame attempt at a troll post and got far more attention when he jumped up and down about it than when it hit the board.  I opened the post, say it was a pathetic troll, and moved on to the next topic.  I suggest you learn to do the same or consider posting a statement about how distasteful you find two Asian chicks in front of a Nazi flag.  That's the beauty of having an opinion.  Then again, you might prefer posting in this isolated forum talking about what you last bought or are having for dinner.

  Where on DV do you see threads saying "KILL ALL THE N*GGERS"?  This references the troll that was let lose on both DV and DS and the same actions were taken against this troll on both forums.  But that's not what we are talking about here is it?

I used to see them frequently, but as I said (and according to what people have reported) it's changed since my experience.

It is not just that photo, it is the reaction of the Moderators to things that are ongoing.. things i find ludicrous.. I just had to say something.. by the way it was well thought out and it is not jumping up and down... but I do love the picture you are trying to paint with your words marty very impressive.

I am asking for good, clean, social discourse, to occur, on what I perceive to be an ongoing problem... but you know, as well as I, that the odds of that happening, are slim to none. There'll be just far to many trolls aka instigators for that to ever happen.

There are time's like this when I miss the comments from posters such as Tenkani and (schadeunfruade) (how ever that name is spelled). I sometimes find myself missing the flame wars & the open natured insults with the crew of posters, Posting amongst the likes of curses or Raging Poodle, let's not forget or random guy  and far to many good posters that have left over the years.

And where is sheLise for goodness sake ? is she alright?..  then their is the other posters who have all left for places unknown over the years...

There is a time and a place for many things, even the flaming of a thread was done in a way to bring on social discourse.  often the open pages went on and on and on. true it was often off topic BUT The social discourse was awesome..

We said whatever we had to say and no one really ever left feeling angry or slighted. We all had an opinion and the amazing thing is we listened to each other, even though we insulted one another or we did not agree with one another but at the same time we may not have always gotten along

there was a strange camaraderie within the DV community, that DV seems to be lacking now... back in the day, things where more chaotic, but at the same time, it was more civilized, mind that was civilized in it's own way.

Give and take, their's always something we will never completely agree on but sometimes things that do go on are just simply disgusting and this time I had seen enough. I might have chosen the wrong time to say something but damn it all I just had to say something.

I think the moderators are doing a decent job of attempting to balance discussion while keeping the peace.  I actually love the ability to have uncensored dialogue with relaxed censorship.  There is a line.  Many have crossed it and been added to the ban list.  If you go over to Memebee, they constantly bitch that the mods are too tough.

I still see that on DV.  Watch some of the ladies go at it and you'll see it as well, specifically cc la femme and Realwoman.  Those two go at each other like a couple of bitches in heat, but they do listen to each other.  They have this argumentative dance they constantly partake it and goad each other into responding.  I think they both enjoy their conversations even though they are on different sides of the fence.  [/FONT]

When I see something over there I don't agree with, I type a reply.  Going at the mods in public will get you absolutely nowhere.  From my experience, the mods seem to be willing to listen if nothing else.  PM one or two and see where you get.[/FONT]
