...commit perjury for a loved one?
Would you stand up in court and lie for them to save them having to serve a heavy sentence even though you knew them to be guilty of the crime?

yes for certain crimes. Really depends on the crime in question. But I would have a hard time not trying to keep a father or mother out of jail if I could help it.

I was thinking along the lines of serious crime, such as murder. In which case I would give information but also visit after the sentence was given.
