The Romans built that.

Oh and in North Dakota its really windy.

When I go up in the arch its funny to tell people you're on top of the tallest monument in the world that isn't actually built together, rather just two pices of steel resting on each other. The final wedge piece wasn't bolted on the two sides of the arch. The two sides just fell into each other and created this force that melds together. So basically all that's holding you up is gravity. And the thing sways in the wind.

630ft up nobody died building this thing.  When it was being built the security was lax and you could at night climb the insides, so I've been told.

I think i would prefer to be stuck in a glass eevator than a regular one.  I was stuck in an elevator once.
A guy i worked with was trying to scare his wife (also in elevator) by jumping up and down. then it stopped - we were there for an hour or two.  No big deal.
