She says its too expensive to do it too often as well its so unhealthy.

I think it tastes great and we should do it more often.

Im trying to convince her to get her family over for a dinner and we will do it.

She seems scared Im going to burn myself and the house down.

My friend re-uses the same oil (pours it back into the jugs and keeps it in the garage), if that's any help to you.  So it's just the cost of the bird.

I re-use deep fry oil as well.  I run it through a coffee filter and then keep it in the fridge.  (yes it takes forever to go through a coffee filter)

Tell you what, I'll convince lovely Ms Starfish that turkey frying once in a while is a fun, safe pursuit.  Then you invite me for turkey?!

LOL, regardless I should have you over at some point.
It IS a safe pursuit.. she just got worried when there was a number of us have that many coca cola's around it, it boiled over once, and she read about all the warnings and online danger stories.

LOL, not in environmental.. around me and my brother if she was, she would be insane by now.

We've a juicer but we lost the thingy that you push the fruit/veggies as you squeeze out the juice so it just sits in the cupboard along with other misc. kitchen items that I'm sure are useful at some point in my life.

I guess it tells you not to fry a turkey in your underwear with bare feet.
