I would say they are about 12 Km east of Osoyoos. After the big switchbacks, but still on the climb upward to the summit.

Oh that far eh ? I will check for those next time. I am dreaming or they have been put there very recently ? I don't remember having seen the sasquatch the first time I pass there.
I just noticed them this summer. They may have been there before, but I could have been staring down the road hypnotized. I assume they are pretty new as people from the cities are building condos on the hillside like crazy. Never really understood wanting a summer vacation condo on a dry hill. Far away from the lake?

Rest Area Explanation

You must rest....or THIS could happen to you.

They are 'counting the ballots' whatever this means. lol
They can't kill of the fictitious character based off of the Sasquatch Hunter René Dahinden.

Oh if you come from the East, I can understand that, the main aim of the buyers been just to get out of the rain from Vancouver. Lots of people stay here a few years then leave, the first reason evoked most of the time being the lack of sun and way too much rain. Don't worry, there will be lots of buyers who want to stay away from the crowd of the lake.

Yeah, I could see it working for some people. A quiet warm climate spot aways from the city (or away from the rain if a person dislikes it).

As for lakes, I like quiet spots on lakes. That is what I love about the Kootenays. Osoyoos is a gong show on the water. Tons of people and the water itself is warm as pee. Very shallow, you have to walk out a mile to get the water over your head. Osoyoos is a cool little town though, but there are nicer lakes out yonder. (my opinion anyways).

Just like anywhere, it has it's positives and negatives. Kootenays and Okanagan are two universes apart, yet only a few hours drive. Same with the central interior.

I think I got a feel for the Osoyoos area in Eastern Washington. Trying to figure where Montana type scenery fits in with the Interior.

^Probably Cranbrook would be like the mountainous part of Montana. But instead of everyone owning a gun and loving football, they would own a hockey stick and love weed. Not to be stereotype on that town, but hockey is huge there...and so is weed.

I have friends in Kimberley and they said Cranbrook takes pride in its hockey players from there. Plus, smallest town with a WHL team. '02 Memorial Cup Champs too. It is a small town.

The following notable people came from or were born in Cranbrook:
