Bond films are getting smarter:

"It's his internal suffering that propels much of "Quantum," as Bond seeks out the shadow organization who killed his beloved Vesper Lynn in the previous film, a pursuit that puts him in direct dispute with eco-capitalist Dominic Greene (Mathieu Amalric), whose Earth-friendly conglomerate hides various shades of skullduggery, from overthrowing governments in oil-rich countries (with the tacit approval of the CIA) to hoarding water supplies."

no no. Read the last line. Bond is going to take down the CIA apparently. lol
And that its a 'eco-capitalist' group which overthrows dictatorships with approval of the CIA. lol

Anyone seen My Summer Story?  It's the supposed sequel to A Christmas Story.  It was in the bargain bin at StupidStore, so I bought it for $3.99

I think I'll rent Casino Royale and watch it again to refresh my memory before I go see Quantum

Lise

My hubby saw Casino Royale for free. You can actually borrow it from the Vancouver Public Library if you become a member. Might be on the waiting list tho.

I still have to see Indiana Jones. Maybe we'll wait till it becomes dirt cheap since it did rather badly at the theatres.

You guys are talking about the latest Indiana Jones movie right?
It did really well actually... over 700 million in earnings.

you can also download the movies for free courtesy of the internet! you don't even have to leave home! you can find pretty much any movie out there unless if it's some junk one that nobody has heard of (see: lousy horror movies) or some foreign film that had limited exposure.

purelife

Anybody seen any good box office movies lately?

For the fourth time, I've watched the movie The Holiday.  It was on last night on tele.

P.C.

Not me purelife, but I learned on Saturday night, that Shaw on Demand, has free Karaoke.  I have never karaoked before, and was quite shocked to find out how difficult it was.  Even knowing every nuance and every word of a song wasn't enough.  Who knew.

I have the worlds worst voice, so of course I would never do it in public....but it was fun in the living room with only close friends to laugh at me.
Sir Isaac Newton invented the swinging door....for the convenience of his cat.
